This is an excellent opportunity to delve into Balinese unique cuisine. If you’re passionate about discovering the secrets of Balinese food and spices, this program is ideal for you as we’re eager to share all about our recipe secrets. Many exciting discoveries await in this program, such as: visiting the local market and interacting with local vendors, purchasing ingredients for cooking (spices, vegetables, meat, etc.). Additionally, we’ll also tour the rice fields, where we’ll explain the Balinese way of rice cultivation and the unique irrigation system known as ‘subak’. Lastly, we’ll cook at a Balinese local house in a family style setup, providing you with a truly authentic Balinese experience.

A must do cooking class in Ubud - The cooking class with Ibu Dewi was excellent. The right balance of do it yourself and demonstration.
Great local location, with wonderful, green and lush view.
All recipes provided.
Food was delicious and plentiful.
Pick was also great, with a few stops along the way to visit a small market and coffee/ tea house.
There were 5 of us in the class, It was a real pleasure meeting the other people who shared the experience.

AMAZING! - The most amazing experience! Coffee Plantation and going around the markets in the morning was fantastic. Cooking by the best teachers and the food was incredibly! 100% recommend for anyone wanting a more authentic cooking class in Ubud.

Great cooking experience - Visit to the very small local market but always surprising to see how they organize themselves to sell their products. Followed by a quick stop at the coffee plantation. Small but very quickly explains how coffee is harvested and processed. It ends with a tasting and shop. Arriving there, the guide explains how the house which houses more than thirty people is made. Kitchen on the second floor where the view of the forest is magnificent. We get our hands dirty and prepare 9 dishes to create a buffet to enjoy afterwards. Great experience. Go solo and meet nice people by chance from the same country as me. I recommend this basic but enjoyable course to learn more about Balinese cuisine.

Highly recommend! - Brilliant class! Great selection of food, well explained, clean and organised. So delicious! Dewi and Johnny showed us every step and gave us the recipes to take home. Amazing views and experience - will definitely come back again!

Recommended cooking class: SUPER! - First to the market where he explained everything he usually uses with food; then to his cooking studio overlooking the rice fields. He cut and mashed and stirred and fried all the food himself with good help from his wife and daughter. Then it was royally served and eaten; so tasty and fresh! Relaxed atmosphere and wonderfully nice chef and family, highly recommended, small-scale and very personal

Hand-on and fun cooking experience - Excellent hands-on and fun cooking experience. Trainers were very engaging and made us feel very welcome in their kitchen. The driver collected us and first took us to an agroforestry farm where we were received by a guide who took us around and we sampled different teas and coffees. We then went to a local market, which was a disappointment as we had no guide and there was very little produce on show.
