Additional Information

Leaving Melbourne around 8 am, your journey will take you through Victoria’s Western Plains en route to the historic city of Ballarat. The 1850’s saw a massive gold rush in this area, and Ballarat was at the heart of it all. We’ll stop for morning tea at the infamous site of the Eureka Rebellion while you learn a bit about its history. Driving through the scenic western volcanic plains will take us through Moyston, famously known as the birthplace of Australian Rules Football.

Arriving at the base of the Grampians Range, or ‘Gariwerd’ in the local Jardwadjali language, you’ll get to explore the Australian bushland on a leisurely walk to Silverband Falls.

Lunch will be at the quaint town of Halls Gap. Don’t forget to look out for kangaroos and a variety of birds along the main street. After lunch, we’ll head to the Wonderland Turntable and undertake a short trek to the Grand Canyon.

We end our journey at MacKenzie Falls. It wouldn’t be a complete Grampians tour without experiencing these awe-inspiring waterfalls.

Wonderful and memorable tour with Raquel! - I joined the Grampians tour with Raquel and she’s a magnificent guide! Our tour was filled with great information about both the culture and nature of the Grampians. Apart from hiking and sightseeing, we also spent quality time with kangaroos which is totally a bonus! I learnt interesting things about how the plants adapt to fire and it’s something I truly enjoy when joining a tour - something new that I may have never thought of! Thank you Raquel!

Adventurous excursion - Absolutely brilliant tour guiding and I forgot his name…sorry. He was quite knowledgable and intuitively connected with us from the start - including an ice-breaking mixer to start the day with hot tea and coffee amongst the participants. On this particular tour, the small group consisted of US family of 4, 2 of us from Thailand and a solo traveler from Japan. The conversations between the tour guide and us plus vice versa were very amicable and light-hearted. Topics not related to the sights/tour regarding Australian lifestyle were also discussed. It was an expertly navigated day.

Great tour to take the best pictures ever - The whole tour is amazing, every stop was spectacular, of course the best pictures were in 12 apostles. Also I had the chance to take helicopter in 12 apostle (not included in the tour but worth every penny). Jacqui was an espectacular guide, very nice.
