• Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge - CARRICK-A-REDE ROPE BRIDGE is located near the quaint village of Ballintoy. Visitors can choose to cross the bridge or spend their time enjoying a scenic coastal walk or visiting the delightful tea-rooms on site.
• Giant’s Causeway - GIANT’S CAUSEWAY. Stop at the Giant’s Causeway for about an hour. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site with plenty of time for discovery. Continue to the Giant’s Causeway to spend around an hour exploring the 50,000 interlocking hexagonal stone columns along the Atlantic Ocean. These basalt columns were formed during a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago.
• Dunluce Castle - DUNLUCE CASTLE. Arrive at one of the most dramatic castle ruins in the world and be amazed at how this ancient castle hangs over the cliff edge. Part of Dunluce Castle fell into the sea in the 1600s, resulting in the death of some servants. It is believed to be haunted by these unfortunate souls. Also featured as Castle Greyjoy in Game of Thrones!
• Ballintoy Harbour - BALLINTOY HARBOUR. (The Iron Islands). Ballintoy Harbour was the setting for Theon’s return to the Iron Islands and some scenes around Dragonstone. It is here that Theon first met his sister Yara, was baptized in the name of the Drowned God, and paid homage to the ship ‘Sea Witch.’ This picturesque coastal inlet is where Theon Greyjoy arrives back in the Iron Islands and later admires his ship. It was also used for scenes around Dragonstone.
• Dunseverick Castle - DUNSEVERICK CASTLE. Only the ruins of the original gate lodge remain of this castle, which was destroyed by General Robert Munro in 1642.
• Bushmills Distillery - OLD BUSHMILLS DISTILLERY. The area has a long history of distillation. According to one story, as far back as 1276, an early settler named Sir Robert Savage of Ard’s fortified his troops with “a mighty drop of aqua vitae” before defeating the Irish in battle. In 1608, a license was granted to Sir Thomas Phillips, an Irish adventurer, by King James I to distill whiskey.
• The Dark Hedges - The Dark Hedges is an avenue of beech trees along Bregagh Road between Armoy and Stranocum in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The trees form an atmospheric tunnel that has been used as a location in HBO’s popular television series Game of Thrones, making it a popular tourist attraction. According to legend, the hedges are visited by a ghost called the Grey Lady, who moves from tree to tree. She is said to be either the spirit of James Stuart’s daughter (named “Cross Peggy”), one of the house’s maids who died mysteriously, or a spirit from an abandoned graveyard beneath the fields. On Halloween, she is joined by other spirits from the graveyard. The Dark Hedges were used as a filming location for the “King’s Road” in Game of Thrones and also appeared in the 2017 Transformers film The Last Knight.
• Caves of Cushendun - The Cushendun Caves are located in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Although they are very old, they became known to the public only after being featured in the Game of Thrones series. A must-visit for fans and lovers of hidden tourist treasures! We then proceed to Cushendun to visit the Dark Caves, where the Red Priestess Melisandre gives birth to a Shadow in a cave near Renly’s encampment while Ser Davos Seaworth watches in horror.
• Larrybane Quarry - Larrybane Quarry served as the setting for an important Game of Thrones scene when it was used as Renly Baratheon’s camp in the TV series. The old chalk quarry was transformed into a tourney site for an episode in Season 2. Its rocky landscape and coastal features made it an ideal location to recreate part of The Stormlands, where Renly set up his camp.
• Carrickfergus Castle - Carrickfergus Castle (from the Irish Carraig Ḟergus or “cairn of Fergus,” with “Fergus” meaning “strong man”) is a Norman castle in Northern Ireland, located in the town of Carrickfergus. You can pay a fee for a self-guided tour of the castle, which takes approximately 30-60 minutes.
• Carnlough Harbour - Carnlough (from Irish Carnlach, meaning ‘place of cairns’) is a beautiful fishing village with a picturesque harbour in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the Mid and East Antrim district, the historic barony of Glenarm Lower, and the civil parishes of Ardclinis and Tickmacrevan. It has a population of 1,512 people. Carnlough Harbour, also known as the Bravos Canal from HBO’s Game of Thrones, is where Arya Stark emerged from the canal after being stabbed.
