We are local photographers who know Sydney well. Our PhotoWalks are designed to help you learn creative photography without any experience. Its hands-on and you receive lots of one-to-one attention as we run these with very small groups of maximum 6 photographers.

Please note: The PhotoWalk starts at 10 am sharp. Please arrive 15 mins before the workshop begins. We meet outside the pub. At that time of the morning, we will most likely be the only group outside the pub. Look for Colin, your photo guide. He is tall and he's usually wearing a hat.

Great photography walking tour - highly recommend - Colin was an excellent teacher and he showed me some very useful and interesting tricks. Balmain was a great location to learn photography skills and it was a great way to spend a Sunday morning.

Such a lovely morning! - Colin was an amazing guide and teacher who is incredibly knowledgeable in photography for all phone types. I did the walk with my sister and we both thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt so much. The little titbits about Balmain's history were great and we got some really good insights and tips on how we can improve our photos. Highly recommend!

Amazing, very useful - We got so much useful tips how to take a good phot, simple easy to redo it after, Balmain is a very nice place to explore and take pictures, I really enjoyed the journey

Great tips to use my phones camera! - Perfect pace and such a lovely blue sky day. Colin gave us some great tips no matter what the phone. He gave us all little nuggets to go home with. WOW on some of the features I didnt even know I had. Thankyou WAO team for a great experience.

Creativity through observation - I joined the walk around Balmain learning how to use my smartphone to take more creative pictures. Colin's instructions were very easy to understand. I learned more about composition, how to take texture, how to use zoom and not use zoom and different ways to use a selfie stick without taking a selfie. Colin showed us how we can make interesting photos using water and out self timer. We are Observer's keep participants to a few which means we received personal attention. I recommend this trip.

How to see your photos through new eyes - There is so much on our smart phones we don’t know how to use, particularly when it comes to photos. There is nothing Colin doesn’t know when it comes to digital photography. I had a great time. The walk through Balmain was beautiful and went all too quick. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Interesting and rewarding tailored phone photography experience. - We had such an interesting and rewarding time exploring Balmain with Colin while learning the tips and tricks of our phone's functionality and also learning about more general photography concepts such as composition. Really appreciated the pre-walk research conducted by the team into individual phones for a tailored experience and to maximise their use - whether iPhone or Android. Highly recommend.

Smartphone photo walk Balmain - I really loved this walk around Balmain. Our group got along really well and we had a lot of fun. Colin our photo guide really knows his stuff and has lots of easy tips to share. It’s great to know how to get more from the phone camera especially since I’ll be travelling soon and these handy phone tricks will definitely come in use. Highly recommended!

Mobile phone photography skills - Shane and Colin are generous with their time and skill Sharing on creative use of the camera on a mobile pbone. On a leisurely stroll around historic Balmain they incorporate interesting facts on its past mixed with ways to use camera features not revealed in the camera "guide".
