Rommaninat Park - Romaneenart Park, commonly known as Khuk Kao, is a public park in Samran Rat Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. It is bordered by Siriphong and Maha Chai roads, covering an area of about 29 rai.
The park is situated on the former site of Klong Prem Prison, established on the royal initiative of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in 1890, modeled after HM Brixton Prison in the London Borough of Lambeth, United Kingdom. The prison underwent several name changes, most recently in 1972, becoming Bangkok Remand Prison. Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn (later King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X)) presided over the official opening of Rommaninat Park and Prison Museum on 17 August 1999.
