  • Cheow Lan Dam (Ratchaprapa Dam) - 07:00 Pick up from any hotel in Khao Lak, drive to the Takhun District, Suratthani ( approx 1:50 hours drive). Visit “Nam Rad Watershed Forest” and freshen up in a natural crystal clear pond surrounded by the unique forest.

Arrive at Cheow Lan Pier, and board the boat to explore the highlights of the lake. Cruise along the lake and enjoy the multi-spot scenery. Stop for a photo moment at the Three-brother-pillar, a symbolic landmark of the lake. You are allowed to swim just jump right from the boat.

Arrive at Frog Island, enjoy a delicious Thai lunch on the island with a 270-degree view of limestone mountains and jungle.
Spend your day after lunch just simply relaxing, kayaking on your own, or beating the heat to swim into emerald clear water. Enjoy sightseeing the surroundings.

16:00 back to the pier. Drive to the dam ridge for a panoramic dam viewpoint.

Amazing scenery - We enjoyed this day very much long day but spectacular scenery started off in sunshine and ended with rain but still had a great day. Make sure to canoe along the creek at Emerald pool fantastic reflections and crystal clear water.

Fabulous tour, amazing scenery - We are a family of four with teens and had a fabulous time. We were tossing up whether to tour to the islands but are thrilled we visited Khao Sok instead. We were in a small group of 8 in total and saw only a handful of other tourists. Our guide was lovely and the sights incredible. Highly recommended.

Wonderful excursion and well organised - A wonderful excursion! Emerald pool is beautiful and we especially enjoyed the kayaking (nice and quiet). Then enjoyed Khao Sok park and Cheow Lan lake by boat. Breathtaking is the right word, really so beautiful. The group was small (6 people) and you sit 2 by 2 in the boat, so everyone has a good view of the beautiful surroundings. Visited a beautiful cave. The swimming and kayaking was wonderful, no one else on the lake. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the guide (Aut?), but I give him 10 points. Explained a lot to us and was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

A brilliant day out - What a brilliant day - basically 2 stops - first at the Emerald Pool where we relaxed in the crystal clear spring water before taking a kayak for a paddle through the rain forest - and second to the lake for a thrilling long tail boat ride out through the other worldly limestone rock formations, stopping to climb into a lakeside cave, and for an excellent lunch in a floating restaurant. All round, a brilliant day out

Wonderful company - Wonderful day with an excellent guide, Oil (yes, that is really her name). All was in time and well organized. No stress and Oil was keeping us well away from the crowds. For instance, after the lunch there was swimming, but first we went to a very nice and desolated spot with the boat. I would really recommend this professional organization. Oil for instance, is already working as a guide here for 15 years! Thanks for the great day :)

Beautiful - Many thanks to our guide Giorgio for the superbly organized trip. We were very impressed by his friendly and cheerful manner and love of nature. He introduced us to the beautiful nature and wildlife of Thailand. Khao Sok National Park is beautiful and the Emerald Pools are an experience. The tour and Khaolak Planner are highly recommended. Great day in Chitwan district - We had really grat time in Chitwan national park. Our trip guide were really grat person (Named Oilo). She told us lots of interesting information during the whole trip. At first we stoped at the parking with beautiful view on Chitwan valley, then we continued to Emerald Pool, where we were kayaking in the jungle and next swimming in beuatiful natural pool with really clear water. Next part of trip was Cheow Lan Lake, which was really breathtaking. There were so nice landscape. We visited the Bat cave, then we had lunch in floating houses (so delicious). At the end of trip we had time to swimming in lucit water in Chew Lan Lake. I absolutelly recomend this trip!

An excellent tour. - An excellent tour of the lake. A small group of 8 (their maximum) made this a more enjoyable trip. Whilst there are lots of boats leaving the pier, the tour was organized so we didn't see many other groups, other than at the caves when there were five boats. The lunch was very good, using the restaurant of one of the floating hotels. Parry our guide was full of information and even stopped the bus to educate us on the harvesting of rubber trees on the way. Now to delete a few of the hundred or so photos we took.
