Get inspired by the jungle to live more and discover the nature more - We recently visited the Bandiur Tiger reserve that literally oscillates between a rain-washed green and sun-soaked blanket of brown, Bandipur is a tropical deciduous forest heaven. What makes this place more pristine is that it is situated at the confluence of the Western and Eastern Ghats, in Karnataka’s slice of the UNESCO recognized the "Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve". Speckled within the forests and shrub lands are tigers, elephants, the spotted deer, sloth bears, the Indian gaur, leopards, the Black Panther. And perched in the panorama of the wild was our hotel which was carefully selected and booked by our tour operator “Discover Activities.” We had seen so much of wildlife in our safari and we kept our fingers crossed to sight a tiger too. Suddenly there was a huge chaos and noises in the jungle and our guide told that the animal kingdom is announcing the arrival of the king. We finally spotted a tiger drinking water from a puddle, soon he disappeared back into the dense woods but we had our moments that we were waiting for

Pristine jungles like Bandipur give me thrills that connect me to my childhood, where I keep returning to find the inner - Being a native of Bangalore city, I often visit Bandipur after every 3-4 months. In jungles like Bandipur, you can go on a safari with the possibility of seeing bears, elephants, tigers, leopards, melanistic leopards, gaur, dholes, and so much more. Where else in the world can you get this incredible diversity in Asiatic wildlife? It is truly The Jungle Book. The forest is full of untold stories waiting to be uncovered. These stories can be told anywhere. The jungles are your stage, the animals are your characters, and your eyes are your tool to weave it all together.

Amazing to soak in the wilderness of this thrilling Jungle county, we booked last moment but the operator managed it all - This was a very memorable safari, always surrounded by herds of deer, lots of peacocks around, and we were able to see groups of elephants with their young ones. The safari was great except that we could not see the tiger very clearly, but we ended up sighting a leopard. It was heart pounding to hear the roar of a tiger from a distance, who was out hunting a deer. Our van tried its best to get close , but the master of disguise had taken its prey very deep inside an inaccessible patch. All we managed to see , a bright golden flash and a set of stripes. But even that view was 100 times better than watching a tiger up-close in a zoo.. We also spotted Indian gaur (the biggest Bison species), languor, peacock, elephants, wild squirrel, deer, other birds, etc The reserve is renowned for its lush landscapes, comprising dense forests, expansive grasslands, and serene lakes, which provide an ideal habitat for a diverse array of species. Visitors often praise the reserve's well-maintained trails and the opportunities for wildlife sightings, especially of tigers, elephants, and leopards. The park's commitment to conservation and eco-tourism is commendable. I it gets crowded during peak seasons, and securing permits in advance is advisable. However our amazing tour operator “Discover Activities” did all the work and we didn’t have to care about any arrangements. The owner, “Jai Singh,” is always available in case of any need for help arising. Overall, Bandipur offers a rewarding experience for those seeking an immersive jungle adventure.

Probably the last bastion of Indian Tiger in the wild, a wonderland away from the human interference with exotic animals - Marvellous wildlife animals were spotted during the safari tours. A tranquil forest simply leaves you in awe, transporting you back to a more organic life. You can still find pristine wilderness away from the maddening city life. It was truly delightful to see herds of deer grazing peacefully, and enormous bison ruling over the grasslands. The highlight of the trip was spotting a wild elephant—an awe-inspiring sight! I was also fortunate to see several vibrant peacocks, adding a splash of colours to the lush greenery. The park's serene environment and the opportunity to witness such diverse wildlife made it an unforgettable experience.

Wondderful experience spotting the local wildlife. - Although we didn't see a tiger, we did spot a leopard as well as a few elephants. Especially the opportunity to spot the elusive leopard was a threat

- Our experience for Bandipur Tiger Reserve with Somnathpur Temple Tour was good. We had a good time visiting the reserve. However, we had a misunderstanding between the driver and us. We did not visit the temple which was included in the tour. Too bad...
