- Ciwidey - After breakfast, depart at 8:00 AM to Ciwidey. We’ll stop to enjoy the countryside panorama, take a short walk to the terraced rice fields, visit a local village, see an old train bridge, and have a coffee break at a Luwak home industry, known for its expensive coffee processed through civet cats (optional, depending on time constraints). Then, continue driving to the White Crater.
- White Crater - At Kawah Putih, we’ll start with a hike to the viewpoint through the Patuha forest and explore the surroundings, including Sunan Ibu, Patuatea plantation, and the tea worker village. Then, visit Kawah Putih lake up close (7.10° S 107.24° E), one of the two craters of Mount Patuha, an andesitic stratovolcano. Mount Patuha is one of many volcanoes in Java. Drive back to the parking area for lunch.
- Tea Country, PTPN 8 - After lunch, continue driving to Rancabali and stop at the Rancabali Tea Plantation. Here, we’ll take a short walk through the plantation, enjoy the beautiful surrounding panorama, take some nice pictures, and then continue walking to Rengganis Crater.
- Rengganis Crater - Rengganis Crater is one of the most interesting craters in the south of Bandung. This narrow river valley steams and bubbles with volcanic activity. Locals have created artificial ponds near thermal springs of varying temperatures, some with bamboo pipes for a hot “shower.” The newest and largest of these pools, which is also the most accessible, is heart-shaped. Pools of warm mud offer the opportunity for a mud spa, touted to have medicinal benefits for your skin. Relax and enjoy the hot springs, then drive back to the hotel.

Top tour with Umien - The tour and guide were top! We really went off the beaten track a little bit. Umien is a top guide and showed us the coolest places. Definitely recommended!

very nice experience - We, I and my 11-years-old son, enjoyed this tour very much. The scenery of Kawah Putih and the tea plantation and the experience of natural hot springs were excellent. Umien was a knowledgable and friendly guide. I would like to recommend his tour to other people visiting Bandung and around.

Unforgettable day thanks to Bang! - We booked a tour through Umien Moritz from Bandung, and had a fantastic day! A big thank you to our guide Bang and our driver for this unforgettable experience!
As we drove out of Bandung, the tour immediately started with some background about Bandung, and it became a fun dialogue of facts and questions we were allowed to ask.
Then we ended up on our first stop in Ciwidey. Here we visited local businesses/families for a tour of a bamboo factory, rice processing, and a cafe where the famous ‘Luwak’ coffee is served.
Afterwards the journey continued towards Kawah Putih (White Crater). A nice walk to the highest point (2,343m) with plenty of photo opportunities and pleasant explanations along the way.
On the way down we went to a tea plantation with sublime visibility!
After the visit to the tea plantation we could go to the lake of the White Crater, where you could see the colors up close.
Then it was time for lunch break and lunch. We had a very nice and budget friendly meal! Good to get your strength up.
After lunch we took our swimwear towards Kawah Rengganis (crater including hot spring). First we were given a tour explaining the mysterious background of this place. After this we got the chance to do a mud treatment, and get into the hot springs.
After this experience, it was soon late afternoon, and it was time for the way back to Bandung.
We had a really wonderful experience thanks to Bang and fellow guide. We learned a lot about the area, and were able to do a lot of unique activities in one day.
We can highly recommend this tour!

Beautiful tour of Bandung surroundings with knowledgeable guid - Great tour of the beautiful surroundings of Bandung. From the tea fields and coffee plantations to the active volcanic crater (somewhat eerie). We visited the natural hit springs for a mudbath and soak in a hot natural pool surrounded by the jungle.
Our guide was very nice, knowledgeable and attentive. He knew how to avoid the crowds even on a busy Sunday. The driver was very safe. The bus was comfortable.

Amazing tour - We had a very nice day! First visit to the krater with a small hike going to the top, which has a better view than at the lake itself. But very little people took this route. After we also got to try a nice local ginger drink.
We went down to the krater lake took some pictures. Then we drove to the hotsprings, also very nice.
Umien was great tourguide with lots of knowledge and trying his best to make the day perfect.

Excellent tour of kawah putih - We went on a tour with Umien to kawah putih. Umien is very knowledgeable and took us to all the best sites. We walked through a tea field, briefly hiked up a mountain to have an excellent view of the surroundings, and ended the tour with a wholesome mud bath. We learned a lot from Umien. Definitely recommend his tour(s)…
