After being set up with a life jacket and paddle, our friendly guide will share some safety instruction and paddling techniques. Then load into a 12-seater Big Canoe and journey up the beautiful Bow River. Let our guide entertain you with fun facts, keep an eye out for wildlife and take in the stunning views. Many groups like our River Explorer Tour because no experience is necessary and everything is supervised by a qualified guide. Your tour will be followed by a light refreshment at the end. This tour is perfect for the whole family and It’s a fun and interactive way to explore the waterways of Banff National Park.

Big Canoe Tour - Our guide, Jacob, was especially funny, knowledgeable and delightful. He really helped make our tour special—loved the five minute moment to breathe in the fresh air and listen to the sounds of nature. Great group activity as well!

Jacob from NZ - excellent river guide - Jacob was our guide and he was phenomenal. Well-spoken and charming, he communicated everything from safety to history to wildlife very well, and my favorite part was that he suggested a few minutes of deep breathing and meditation while we were floating back, which we all willingly extended to at least 10 minutes.

Great fun for everyone - Brooke, our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the surrounding wildlife and history of Banff. Her enthusiasm was contagious and made the entire canoeing experience a lot of fun. We recommend that you take this tour and ask for Brooke as your guide.
