A magical tour! - I booked a private guided tour with Discover as I was travelling solo and my first time in Banff. All I had to do was list off my top places of interest and Discover planned the rest! Jake was my tour guide, picked me up promptly at the expected time. He was extremely friendly and outgoing, I was a little distracted by his luscious long locks, but his knowledge of the area was amazing (except about some of the birds) We didn't have the greatest weather so some of the planned stops were not accessible however Jake was quick to make great suggestions and we made the most of my tours allotted time. I will be back to Banff and I will definitely book with Discover again, the coordinators and Jake were amazing and awesome to deal with! I truly had a magical time!

Amazing! - Amazing!!! This was my favourite activity in Banff. We did the Stanley Glacier hike - it was well organized, great lunch, and STUNNING views of the Rocky Mountains. We had a wonderful tour guide who was very friendly and social and patient with all the hikers. I can’t wait to come again and do another hike with the group!

Great day hike to experience the essence of the Canadian Rockies - Guide was quite accommodating of differences in speeds of various hikers and gave some excellent observations as we hiked. Led to great camaraderie among small group of 9 hikers over the 5 hour hike.

Plain of Six Glaciers Hike (September 2024) - Brook(e?) was a wonderful guide with a great sense of humor. Her passion for hiking and outdoor adventures exudes through the experience. I thought the pace and intensity was perfect, and even though our hike was cold and cloudy, the views were still incredible. No one on this hike was left behind--safety was the priority--and our group was surprisingly pleasant and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hike to others!

Very good - Nice hike that I would say is pretty easy and with astonishing views. The discover banff was great: Easy to book and very good infrastructure. Also, the guide, kyla, was great. We were a small group of three and we could chat and listen to her during all the hike. She was very friendly and patient to stop in all places we wanted to stop to take pictures or just enjoy the view. she also knows a lot about the region. Great experience

Brianna=best guide - Had the pleasure of hiking with Brianna, and I can’t recommend her enough! From the moment we met, her warm and friendly demeanor made everyone feel at ease. She took the time to assess each person's skill level and tailored the hike accordingly, ensuring everyone had a great experience. Brianna’s knowledge of the area was impressive; she shared fascinating insights about the local terrain that enriched our adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a beginner, highly recommend booking this hike and requesting her!

not great - Well, although the Viator guide was great, the hike was very disappointing, as I did not sign up for a snow hike. It was rather treacherous for me--not to mention quite cold as snow was falling & the trail was completely snow covered. I had spoken to someone via Viator the noc before and expressed my concern at hiking in the snow. He told me a decision would be made in the morning. There was no snow in Banff, where I met the guide and 2 fellow-hikers, so it seems like an alternate trail could have been substituted that would not have presented such conditions and would have been more like the hike I was execting.

Mediocre - Unfortunately our guide doesn't appear to be experienced. Only highlight is that we met a few interesting folks in the group. But there is really no value add from the service provider.

Not what I expected - Our day started with parking issues. We went to the meeting point as instructed where we had to pay for parking. No problem but couldn’t believe that the daily rate was $72. We then arrived to the trailhead and it was extremely overcrowded with several large tour buses on the trail. the trail was narrow and started with many steep switchbacks. I got separated from my group. At a certain point I made the decision that it was unsafe for me to continue and I turned back. I am a hiker but did not feel safe under those circumstances. However, since I had to wait several hours for my group to return I was able to climb the Rock Pile for amazing views of Moraine Lake. I also walked the shoreline and had lunch. I thought the day was saved but alas upon return to the meeting spot I found a ticket on my windshield for not displaying a park pass. What does that mean? So this tour was definitely not as described or expected.

Extremely Disappointed in missing out an experience of a lifetime! - Unable to go- the tour guide told me it was a very difficult hike and I was under the impression it was a moderate level as stated. So I lost out on my money! Not very happy about that.
