Great Day Trip - My daughter and I had a fantastic day hiking to Johnston Canyon first and then Lake Louise on this Radventures Winter Wonderland tour. The hike to Johnston Canyon was a lovely start to the day and Michael F was a wealth of knowledge giving lots of interesting information along the way. Even though it was snowing and visibility wasn’t great, the snow added a magical element to our Lake Louise visit. Michael was the perfect guide for the day and when we were early finishing at Lake Louise, he took us to a couple of more beautiful spots along the way home. We highly recommend this tour and thank you for a great day out.

A fantastic Banff National Park winter excursion! - We joined Radventures' Winter Wonderland Tour last week. We booked directly with them via their website. This is the best way to do it as it gives you additional options of renting snowshoes and preordering lunch. Our guide for the day was Nolan. Everything worked out very well for us, Nolan was incredible and even the winter weather cooperated (30s temps & sunny). Before booking, I made several calls to Radventures and they were very patient in explaining everything to me. They asked where were staying and told us where our pick up should be. We were picked up @ 9:00 as agreed upon. We started our day @ Johnston Canyon hiking to the Lower Falls. Nolan helped us with our ice cleats (actually he put them on for most of us who were new to this). What a beautiful hike! It was well worth it plus using ice cleats made it easier/safer. The frozen falls was fantastic - a must see in the Winter. After, we went to Moose Trails so we can experience using snowshoes (optional rental). That was fun but more challenging that it looked like. Then we parked @ Lake Louise Village to enjoy our quick lunch. After, we headed on to Lake Louise. WOW! Lake Louise was mostly frozen but you can still see a hint of the turquoise water. Some members of our group (5 of 7) decided we didn't want walk around the lake but instead head into the Chateau of Lake Louise and have some drinks. Nolan accommodated our request & allotted some time for us to do this. Since we still had some time left in our tour, Nolan took us to a couple of his favorite spots in the Banff area. So glad he shared these sights with us - beautiful! In sum, we not only enjoyed the entire itinerary but going through it with Nolan was great. He was very patient, helpful & informative but he didn't overdo it either.

Terrific, full day of beautiful places - Taylor was a great guide for a full day. Learned lots of history about the area, wildlife, how Banff and Lake Louise were developed, and so on. We also learned how you don’t mess with Parks Canada! After a pick up at our hotel, the first stop was Johnston Canyon Falls. We had a beautiful hike to the lower Falls. It was cold, but the water was rushing quickly and was really beautiful. We decided to skip walking to the upper Falls, heading instead straight to Lake Louise after a quick lunch break…. And we had all four seasons in the space of about an hour! We had hail falling on us while we had our lunch, as well as beautiful, bright sunshine, lots of wind, and snow and rain at other times during the day. Taylor took us for a walk all the way to the back end of the lake. The colors of the water were incredible; the lake had not yet finished thawing, so we heard the crinkling of ice like windchimes. Taylor explained how the colors of the lake are formed by “rock flour” being scoured off of the mountains by snow melt. We are really impressed with this company. The tours are well thought out, and the guides are fantastic. We had a variety of physical abilities in our group, and Taylor was very flexible in terms of giving us options to accommodate the needs and pacing of various people.

Great tour of the highlights - Full day group tour- although we were lucky to be the only 2 guests. Early in the season so relatively few people at all the sites and very helpful and informative guide in Rae, made for some beautiful walks with opportunities for wildlife spotting and scenic shots. Recommended highly.
