He was very knowledgeable regarding the area and shared information with us along the way. It was fun meeting the other hikers on the trip and enjoying the beauitful scenery. Backcounty Beautiful Hike - We had amazing weather to enjoy our backcountry hike with Adrienne leading us. She was very knowledgable and happily shared her experiences with us as we hiked. Adrienne managed to keep everyone engaged and hiking at a pace that worked for everyone. She let the group split the lunch break into two destinations so we could enjoy the epic scenery around us. Adrienne also went the extra mile for us (literally) as we left our bear spray in the shuttle bus. We were able to connect with her and retrieve our spray. An awesome trek and we very nearly had the place to ourselves.

Beautiful and educational hike - perfect! - The guide was amazingly knowledgeable and interesting. I learned a lot and could share what I learned on a tour I took the next day with a less knowledgeable guide. The hike was great, the wildflowers were amazing and the mountains are just beautiful.

Amazing Hiking Experience with Jack - My wife and I loved our guided hike with Jack on the Skokie Backcountry Tour. Jack's easy, consistent pace allowed us to soak in the beauty of the mountains. Confident, knowledgeable, and experienced Jack never once had us feeling unsafe or unsure of our surroundings. Jack was able to accurately gauge the fatigue (or lack thereof) in a group with ages ranging from 25-65 and schedule breaks at the perfect moments. The definite highlight of our hike was being within 30 metres of a herd of big horn sheep grazing while we had lunch. We plan on coming back to Banff and being guided by White Mountain Adventures (hopefully by Jack)!

Incredible must do tour! - Jennifer took us out and it was amazing. She has a ton of knowledge about the area and pointed out lots of interesting facts along the way. This is a great trip - we got to drive to the trailhead and avoid 2 miles of what is a like a fire road. That allowed us to start at the beginning of the trail and really enjoy the hike. Beautiful larches through out the entire hike. The hike was not exceptionally strenuous - very enjoyable and incredible views and lakes. It’s off the beaten path so we avoided the hordes of crowds at all the other trails. We could truly enjoy the splendor of Banff National Park. I would highly recommend and ask for Jennifer!

Skoki Backcountry Hiking Adventure - We had an awesome time with our small group of 5 + our guide, Mary. Mary gave us our lunches (delicious!) to carry, so make sure you have a small backpack. We went through all our water, so it was good to have access to a couple extras that Mary brought along. Mary also provided walking sticks - make sure you take advantage of them during some climbing and descent on the trails. The views were amazing. The flowering meadows, the clear lakes (we even heard loons calling!) and of course the towering mountains made for a truly memorable trip. We had a fairly diverse range of abilities, even in our small group. Our guide helped keep the group together, with plenty of shade and water breaks. I would say the ability required for this hike to be "intermediate." We hiked 15K with an elevation change of about 1000 ft. over the out-and-back route. The route went out to Ptarmigan Lake, then back a bit and out to Hidden Lake - both are well worth a visit. We would love to visit Banff again, and most certainly would take advantage of White Mountain Adventures.

Skoki Backcountry - Excellent day with like-minded people! I truly am grateful for what White Adventures has to offer as I couldn’t have achieved this hiking goal without them! The weather was amazing but I think the views and the people you spend the day with is the true experience. Our guide, Monica was well prepared, friendly and knowledgeable. My tip is dress in layers and wear good footwear when you travel in the mountains. Enjoy!

Ptarmigan Lake and Hidden Lake day hike - We picked a fabulous September day for a back country day hike. Our guide Mary Beaudet was so friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter and I love hiking and really enjoyed meeting the others in our group. Would definitely recommend White Mountain Adventures if you want an experienced guide to take you on a Rocky Mountain adventure.

Exceptional hike in the Rockies - Excellent day hike yesterday with Chris, as our guide. We live in Calgary and do a decent amount of mountain hiking - but this experience was exceptional. A secluded hiking area with very unique terrain and stunning views. This is not a hike we would normally undertake, as it is a long walk in - however, White Mountain's unique access to the back of the Lake Louise ski resort (which takes several kms. off the hike) and the addition of a knowledgable guide made this well worth the money. Chris was an excellent and very personable guide and tailored the hike to our needs. Would highly recommend this hike to anyone - locals or visitors.

Bad decisions by booking agent and by guide in charge - Boo to the owner who accepted someone “with a heart problem” on a trip rated “moderate to challenging” Boo to the guide who waited not 5 minutes, not 10 minutes but an entire 15 minutes for the same (unsuited) party to arrive, delaying all the other (prepared) participants. I know ‘this happens’ and i deal with folks all the time who have cognitive or physical disabilities but two massive strikes against the owner and the guide in charge for subjecting 7 able and ready participants to the needs of someone who should have been on a different trip and who was inexcusably late. We received a call from white mountain adventures yesterday asking us to be ready 15 minutes earlier than agreed - we happily accommodated this request (requiring us to corral two teens (IYKYK that’s no easy ask) only to then have us sit and wait in a parking lot for 15 minutes until the ill-suited party showed. Once we got underway, our guide asked us to set a slow pace to accommodate someone “with a heart problem”. WTF ???? - we didn’t sign up to be someone else’s caretaker. Bravo for the party in question for attempting, and for their attitude (they clearly said “we don’t want to slow down the group”) but a mega boo to who ever said “yes” to them. My complaint is not with the party but with the organization. We had plenty of medical skills in our group and would have made it available if asked but f##k we were on vacation and trying to get away from such demands. A big negative to whomever put us in the position of watching over such a need and another huge boo to whomever asked us to be early then forced us to wait for the same party to arrive (much later than arranged).
