Above and beyond at Lake Louise - The tour with Emilio and Adriana was fantastic. I screwed up and got on the wrong bus from Banff to the Lake Louise ski resort. They tracked me down, picked me up, and were incredibly gracious about it. The walk along the length of frozen Lake Louise was spectacular, and at the turn around point, they provided cookies and hot chocolate. It was a wonderful experience.

Amazing tour to Lake Louise - Kristi is a warm and knowledgeable guide. I learnt so much about the area, apart from visiting Lake Louise, which is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. I would highly recommend going on this trip with Kristi!

Brian our guide was... - Brian our guide was incredible. Your description of the tour was wrong. He was even surprised that it stated we could go inside the Chateau when that hasn’t been allowed in years; also you referenced restaurants and the ice bar that were not even open during the time of the tour and there was no snowshoeing option because of lack of snow so we were home an hour early. Brian showed us an incredible time and we enjoyed but we also weren’t allowed to walk out on the lake which was the big purpose for us.

Hmmm - So... first of all, the guide was wonderful. The issues in about to mention were not Viator "fault" but it's my experience. The temp had been crazy cold (-14) and of course the lake was frozen... not much to look at. Overall the scenery was spectacular but the lake experience was lacking. The Ice Castle had fallen into the lake. We're not skaters. Thought we were going to snowshoe but were told conditions were not optimal. We walked the frozen lake which was cool but not for the price. For the money, it was a ride to and from Banff which we could have caught the free shuttle.

20DEC24 DISASTER AND POSSIBLE SCAM TOUR - 20 DEC 24
The first images are attached that show the booking details that are seen on my end when booking after searching “ things to do in banff.” I booked for two adults and assumed children were free since the ticket age range was kids 8-11 and adults 12 and up. On the viator website it doesn’t have an age restriction. On the day of the tour my tickets were sent to me with a link. It said to arrive at Mount Royal hotel at 8 and five prior. We arrived at 750 because we walked from Fox hotel to there as we wanted to be on time. The tour guides showed up at 820. Once they arrived we noticed we were the only family there which was concerning. We signed the waivers loaded the car and before we were about to take off the passenger worker told us we couldn’t take the tour because we don’t have car seats. We had our infant one and we were putting it in. He then came back again saying we don’t have the toddler seat as well. This was very shocking and upsetting as traveler and cruiser that’s like saying you need car seats to visit Alaska and key west when getting off the boat to once you get to the peer put the seats In the tour van? Secondly i attached both sites images. No where in does it say bring a car seat? Then we were told they wouldn’t take us because children need to be 8 and above. This was very upsetting to find out after the fact that there was no age restriction on even the actual tour guides website. When you click children there isn’t an age range At least viator had one. The problem was I assumed children under 8 were free since I didn’t see a ticket from 0-8 and there was no age restriction in the description on viator. At the time I never knew white mountain adventure was its own company. Once we called customer service viator was actually helpful and did try to refund us but in the end the company adventured is the one who approves or Denys the refunds. They denied the refund with a response saying we booked only Two adult tickets and showed up with two adults an infant and toddler with no car seats. So you’re saying if I checked your website and booked to children tickets because we didn’t have that you’d still deny us for no car seats or you wouldn’t have because we had that? Let me be clear by saying we did not book with negligent intent to try and be sleezy I think the viator website isn’t the same the white mountain website because when I called customer service and reviewed that link I mentioned earlier they put on the notes age restriction 5 and up. Which isn’t in at all on the images I posted only in the ticket day of email. The viator day of link doesn’t say bring car seats. Seat belts aren’t based on age it’s based on weight. I wouldn’t recommend this tour I think the only reason this tour is expensive is because they offer a shoe walking experience I think around the lake
Which I did bring a baby carrier for. MY RECOMMENDATION walk two minutes down straight ahead to the bus station right next to Mount Royal hotel in front of the community high school. Purchase a day pass for lake Louise for $20. Get on the free no car seat bus that takes you there in an hour. Walk five minutes to lake Louise enjoy yourself and get back on the bus and go home unless you have children above eight and want to walk around lake Louise with snow shoes and you’re possibly the only dang family. Again we had no ill intent of oh we got them purchased two adults tickets and just randomly show up with kids like no I didn’t see an age restriction on both websites when I buy tickets it didn’t have my child’s age on there and EVEN IFFFFFF I booked through the actual website on white mountain adventure their website has no age range on there so how would I have known there is an age restriction of eight and older because it just say purchase kids tickets. We were the only family there clearly these guys are giving scammer vibes they didn’t refund us and I did let viator know at least like hey the information is misleading on the site like any family with kids under a certain age would. We were the only Family and it was just weird. All the sleigh riding skating and everything you’d still pay or bring your own skates if You took the 20$ option and visit for a couple hours with public bathrooms and views. It’s all the same the sole Difference is a walk shoe tour. Which is what you pay for right but the problem is the details on both sites aren’t the same and on the original website they're defiantly isn’t an age restriction. I didn’t see one on viator either. I thought You pay on certain ages because it didn’t have one in the description like I said again I didn’t see viator have a restriction until I got my day of link which was really annoying because when I got back to hotel I re Googled the stuff to do in banff and the exact trap I saw was still up there. Don’t recommend unless you fit the criteria’s. Also as soon as they were done with us they left they didn’t even seem like they wait or nothing for anyone else.
This a true experience and from my family experience.
