Cambodian fun with Bun - Undertook the 4 day Cambodian Angkor Wat tour based out of Siem Reap (picked up from Bangkok).
Firstly it is a long drive and the border crossing is quite farcical but we were in good hands and it is a good way to see a lot of the country side.
Visiting Angkor Wat and associated temples were unbelievable and a very worthy addition to the bucket list of global wonders.
Our tour guide Neng Bunrong was brilliant :). Friendly , funny, knowledgeable and patient, thoroughly recommend him to anyone :).
Finally Siem Reap is a lovely place to visit, heaps to see, pub street hilarious to people watch, food is amazing and all very cheap. Also worth mentioning that the public toilets in all places visited were the cleanest I have seen in the world .
so now is the time to do this tour as not only are temples mind blowing but Siem Reap really needs the tourist coming back post Covid :)

Gary g’s review - I cannot imagine not fully appreciating the Angkor Wat temple complex and the town of Siem Reap. My whole experience was fantastic with Angkor Partner and Tours especially Phon Raks, my guide, and our driver Cheang. Unfortunately perhaps due in part to the Water Festival about to take place, the Thailand border entry station left much to be desired especially after a relatively quick exit from Cambodia although this is in no way under the control of the tour operator. Mr. Raks and Cheang are both very experienced as a guide or driver. The other drivers or coordinators such as Vithyea all did a fine job. I would highly recommend the private tour experience to anyone. Great job everyone.

Great adventure! - Great adventure in Cambodia! If you’re debating between a 1-2 night trip or this one, choose this one. It’s worth the extra time to explore Cambodia and Angkor more thoroughly. It’s a beautiful country with a rich history. You will fall in love with the people and their heartbreaking recent history.
Yes, the border crossing will stress you out. Try to relax, it will be fine! Enjoy the adventure of a land border crossing.
There is a separate guide that helps you through the Cambodian immigration portion; he speaks English and helps you fill out the necessary forms. The Thai side you navigate on your own, but other than a waiting in line, it goes smoothly.
The hotel was excellent, with a nice breakfast and wonderful staff.
The drivers on both the Thai and Cambodia side were courteous.
Our tour guide was very well informed and educated on Cambodia’s history and all things Angkor. His own past experiences enhanced the tour.
A big thank you to the guides and drivers for a very nice time on this trip!

Good ancient experience. Bureaucracy in the frontier. - Nice arqueological sites in Angkor and well preserved too. The driver from Poipet to Siem Reap too slow, although he said the car had speed limit counter. The frontier in Poipet was confusing and it was not fault from the company, it was fault from the customs in both sides. The company should offer an option to fly from Bangkok to Siem Reap, even for a higher price.

Nice adventure - Crossing the border from Thailand to Cambodia is a bit of a challenge, even for a veteran traveller. The expedited service through passport control and visa service was appreciated. The car and driver from the border to Siem Reap and the hotel made the trip easy. The hotel was nice, good breakfast, clean room and nice pool. A guide is a must. Yoeun Serakyuth did a great job. Without a guide, the average traveller will not experience all the area has to offer.

Great adventure full of history - We were picked up on time from our hotel in Bangkok. The vehicle was big and spacious and air conditioned.
We stopped once for the bathroom and grabbed some snacks at the service station.
The boarder crossing was intimidating but did go smoothly, we were met by a guide ( I guess prearranged for part of the tour, he arranged everting for us)
We were then transferred to a vehicle on the Cambodian side, nicer van and driver,
We were met by our guide ‘Chai’.
Arrived at hotel and was pleasantly surprised by the standard, it was lovely.
Naturally over the next 2 days we visited the temples and it was amazing.
In the evening we got a tuk tuk to pub street each night. Great fun , great food and night markets right there.
$44 AUD each night for 4 dinners and 4 beers.
Return was ok, van in Thai side was not as nice -air con struggled and driver spoke no english.
If you’re in Bangkok and have 4 days it’s well worth doing,
I feel it was good value for money and not expensive in Cambodia. Great for families as well ,

Loved it! But communication could be better - Overall my 3nights/4day tour was fantastic. The tour guide, Mr. Chhay was well versed and helped a lot. I loved the hotel I was booked in Tara Angkor Hotel (near Angkor Natiinal Museum). I’m rating it 4 stars because of the communication challenges.
There are some details that could be straightened (communicated to the travelers better) out for smooth and safe travels.
Some FYI for the new traveler:
1. The drive from Bangkok to the Cambodia border Poipet is about 4.5+ hrs. Do not expect the driver to speak english. Hence, the driver cannot give you further info. There will be 2 stops for toilet and buy food/drinks
2. The contact at the border will ask for nice new US bills $40 (they will reject it if your money is ripped or crumpled). Crossing the biarder could take 30 mins-2 hrs depending on how busy it is. Lucky for us, it took us less than an hour.
3. The drive from the Cambodia border to the hotel in Siem Reap is 2.5+ hrs. The driver also doesn’t speak English.
4. The tour schedule was not laid out in detail. So, ask or call the operator a few days before the tour.
5. On the return home, you are on your own to cross the border back yo Thailand. I was lucky, no one was in line. I was done in 30 minutes. I left Siem Reap at 12nn. My other friends took 2+ hours. One left Siem Reap at 3p and the other 8a. It’s hit or miss.
6. On the way back, make sure before getting on the van that your driver knows your hotel. My driver got lost (he is not from Bangkok) and we circled for 30 mins. Communication was frustrating since he doesn’t speak English. Google translate and maps didn’t help Us either. I called the hotel to speak to the driver. I whatsApp the operator to give directions. I got dropped off a bit far and had to walk 10 minutes to my hotel.
7. Tip them as you may, they do hard work for us
