Great two days in Cambodia - Great two days. Everything was well organized. Staying in Siem Reap was organized in high standard hotel. Very good Guide introduced to us history of Angkor Wat as well as brief history and current situation in Cambodia in very easy and interesting way. Definitely worth recommendation. All were very staisfied, well spend two days of our holidays.

History and culture with professional tour guides - Seeing the beautiful temples in Siam Reap was fantastic. The early morning at Ankor Way is highly recommended (watch the sun rise over the temple and see the reflection in the pond). My tour guide was so knowledgeable and shared a lot about the history and culture of the area. All the tour guides seem very professional, unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. Siam Reap is a very calm and relaxing place to visit.

Excellent tour guide, photographer, exclusive experience - Long was an amazing tour guide. Be is a wealth of knowledge and a pro photographer, making sure we stood in the correct places to get the best pics. He even took us to a special place where we received a blessing and lucky bracelet from a monk. Thank you Long, we won’t forget you or what you showed us.

Wonderful taste of Cambodia - We really enjoyed this visit to Angkor Wat and Cambodia, making the most out of an extended layover in Bangkok. While TripAdvisor had an issue with the booking system, our first contact and booking confirmation with Vithyea via email was quick and professional. Vithyea was also our official and qualified English speaking guide in Cambodia. He and the driver are very friendly, and had a very clean and comfortable minivan. During the ride along the rice fields, Vithyea explained us about the schedule and introduced us to life in Cambodia. Around 12:00 we enjoyed our lunch in a nice restaurant, and arrived around 14:30 at our hotel. After a short break we left to visit to the floating village, and afterwards to the nightlife area. Siem Reap is a surprisingly vibrant and beautiful town. The Tara Angkor hotel is 4 stars, but has a 5 star allure. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, with freshly polished wood. Breakfast, dinner and drinks are excellent. The visit to Angkor Wat was magnificent, and throughout the visit Vithyea explained about the site’s history and details, and is happy to answer your questions. Although you can spend days on this vast site, the morning was just long enough for our teenagers. After the visit we enjoyed another wonderful lunch, and made our return to Bangkok. Having just traveled through Tibet and Nepal, Cambodia surprised us with its friendliness, cleanliness, and modern infrastructure. We will certainly consider returning to this beautiful country. Side notes: The trip was well organized, but as some reviewers have highlighted could use some explanation in ‘what to expect’: - TIP: Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport hotel has breakfast from 4am, so no issue with the 6:30 pickup, nor Bangkok traffic. - Transfer to border: Thai taxi company, so the drivers does not know anything about the tour, and is not likely to speak English. Trip to border takes 3,5 hours including a short break. Bring some Thai Baht if you want to buy something, since not all petrol stations have a minimart. Ride in the minivan and roads are comfortable. Just sit, relax and enjoy the ride. - Border transfer: you arrive at the taxi hub, where you wait for a ’runner’ to walk you (with your luggage) to the border gate. After that just follow the signs for ‘foreigners’ to go through Thai immigration (Exit). After Thai Immigration another ‘runner’ will pick you up to guide you through Cambodia Immigration (Entry). He will have completed your 2 arrival cards p/p already and will offer to handle the procedure ($ 10 p/p). Even if you decline, he will tell you where to go for your 1) Visa and 2) Entry stamp. Payment of the Visa is in cash USD 35 (?) or THB 1300 p/p. There is an officer that speaks (some) English to help you to complete the arrival card (signature and visa number). After immigration, the ‘runner’ will take you to your guide. The whole transfer took us about 40 minutes, and (in July) there are no queues. Note: Cambodia immigration is upstairs (2 flights of stairs if the elevator is still out of order). - Transfer to Siem Reap: After completing immigration the ‘runner’ will take you to guide: let the tour begin. The trip to Siem Reap takes about 3,5 hours, including time for lunch. The road is good and ride is comfortable. Enjoy the explanation and views. Return process is the same, without arrival cards.

Excellent service and experience. - The entire tour was organised excellently by Vithyea - from the Bangkok hotel collection and Cambodian border crossing to the actual Angkor Wat tour. His historical knowledge was impressive and we were both put at ease by his welcoming demeanour. We are both so grateful to everyone we encountered, for making the trip enjoyable and accessible for a 70+ year old!

Excellent - Our experience with our tour guide Vietyea was exceptional excellent. He was well versed with the history of Angkor Wat and its surroundings. We enjoyed his knowledge and the comfort of the ride of his car. The border transfer from Bangkok to Cambodia was excellent and all were coordinated well. Will definitely recommend Viator to friends and family.

IF YOU ARE ONLY GOING TO READ ONE REVIEW, READ THIS ONE!! 100000000/10 stars!! - TO ALL THOSE SKIMMING REVIEWS, READ THIS ONE! Wow, what an amazing trip! The pick-up in Bangkok was a little confusing since they just drop you off at a depot near the border. Eventually I was joined by four other people and we were led through the border. [**PRO TIP** get your e-visa before so that you just sail through border patrol]. Once you get to the Cambodia side, everything is smooth. You get driven to your hotel, chill for a few hours, then taken on a short tour to Tonle Sap Lake. It was raining heavily when we got there but it was still an interesting sight to see. We were dropped off near Pub Street where we grabbed dinner and then taken back to the hotel. Also, the hotel was AWESOME. It's the Tara Angkor Hotel and was very clean. It truly was an oasis. The next morning, got picked up and taken around the various sights of Siep Reap, and of course Angkor Wat. Once you complete seeing the sights, you are taken back to the border and go back through and dropped off at your hotel in Bangkok. I also want to give a special shout out to my tour guide Vithyea, who essentially was my personal tour guide, photographer, and driver. He shared so much history of Cambodia and the culture that I've never known or learned about in school. He truly made this excursion a beautiful learning experience for me. Thank you Vithyea!!

Great trip with great guide. - I was picked up on time from my hotel and driven to the Cambodian boarder. It would have been better had the driver spoken English but, I was in touch with the tour company. Someone took me over the boarder and arrange my VISA. The hotel was a very comfortable 4 star. The tour guide spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable. The information was nice and detailed. It was a great tour and very good value for money. I could have stayed another couple of days.

Fantastic trip just non-English transfers so be ready. - The trip was great and seeing Tonle Sap lake and Angkor Wat were amazing. Highly worth the effort and time. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is that the transfers and border crossing were sketchy feeling. While everyone was nice, there was a feeling of rushing from pick up by our driver (who was very nice but we struggled communicating even with google translate and our broken Thai), across the border (our guide practically ran to the border and we almost lost him in the throng) and into the next car again with a driver with minutes communication (again really nice but no way to know what we were passing or seeing or really to ask questions). Our guide was excellent once we met at the hotel. It would have been better if those details had been more clear. The VIPis for border crossing and worth it (or get your e-visa in advance).
