Embark on a day-long journey beyond Bangkok. Your expedition through the rural areas to Bangkok’s north, Ayutthaya, begins. Single out Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon for its imposing 42-meter long reclining white Buddha. Next, visit Wat Phra Mahathat to observe the renowned tree that encapsulates a Buddha’s head. Press on to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Ayutthaya’s biggest temple. Make a conclusive stop in Ayutthaya at Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit, known for the gargantuan Buddha figure, famous across Thailand. Then, proceed to a regional eatery to enjoy genuine Thai cuisine. Subsequently, prepare for Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Make a beeline for Haew Narok Waterfall where a kilometer walk from the main road grants you scenic views of the cascade. Continue to the Visitor Center to gain insight on the park’s history and unique offerings. The last stop is the KM 30 Viewpoint.
