Highlights
  • Wat Phra Chetuphon - Situated on Rattanakosin Island just south of the Grand Palace, this temple is also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. It is associated with King Rama, who had it rebuilt. The grand royal temple complex houses a 46-meter (151-foot) Reclining Buddha and boasts the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand. It is considered the earliest center for public education in the country.

  • Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun) - Named after the Hindu god Aruna, the Temple of Dawn, or Wat Arun, is an ancient temple that is a must-visit during your trip to Thailand.

  • Klongs - Enjoy a boat ride along the klongs (canals) in Bangkok and take in the blend of rich history and modern architecture.

  • Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit) - The Golden Buddha, officially known as Phra Phuttha Maha Suwanna Patimakon and commonly referred to in Thai as Phra Sukhothai Traimit, is a gold statue of the Buddha in the Maravijaya Attitude, weighing 5.5 tonnes (5,500 kilograms). It is located in Wat Traimit temple in Bangkok. At one point, the statue was covered with stucco and colored glass to hide its true value, remaining in this state for nearly 200 years. The gold was revealed in 1955 when the plaster was chipped off during relocation.

  • Yaowarat Road - Bangkok’s Chinatown is a captivating area, one of the most authentic and unchanged parts of the city. It is one of the most enjoyable places for walking.

Insightful tour with knowledgeable tour guide with good sense of humour - Good tour with variety using different modes of transport and insightful knowledge of the temples. Our tour guide Kris was fun and accomodating. They also took time to explain the BTS and subway for use on our own following the tour and recommended eateries in China town based on our tastes. A great introduction for anyone new to Bangkok.
