Enjoyable multi museum tour with great guide - Lucky was a phenomenal guide. She had great knowledge of Thailand's culture and history. She was also very accommodating to minor request. Very patient and pleasant overall! As we walked through the museum, she explained some of the religious aspect of some of the pieces as well as the relations between other nations. The Jim Thompson House tour was nice as well. Learned about his connections with various distinguished people and the architecture of the house. We also went to the Gem and Mineral museum. There was a video the beginning, a walk through of the jewlry creation and shopping. They have a good range of quality items. I enjoyed my time and appreciate Elle's aka "Lucky" patience and desire to make sure we had a great experience. I hope to see her again on my next trip to Thailand

A peek at the past and questions about a mystery. - Good opportunity to walk through classic Thai architecture from 1800’s. This property included buildings from Ayutthaya and Bangkok that were dismantled, brought to the site and rebuilt. Thompson, an architect by training, improvised and added modern elements. The tour, although mandatory, was informative and helped to control the flow of tourists.

Touristy, but worth a visit - At 200 THB, the entrance is not cheap and so are other things at this place - clothes, food etc. The ticket includes a 40 minute guided tour tour in english and some other languages. Mr Thompson was an american who settled in Thailand, collected a lot of antique artifacts including Buddha statues, painting etc. These are on display in the house - and 4 other small structures. There is small lush green garden by the side of a canal which has active waterway transport.

Interesting - Very interesting house and the story of Jom Thompson. A pity that the tour guide had a very thick mask on and rattled off information behind the mask - difficult to hear and to understand.
