The temple gained its current name, “Wat Rakhang” (Temple of the Bell), after an ancient bell was discovered within its grounds during the reign of King Rama I. Apart from its beauty, the temple is renowned for its Ubosot (ordination hall), which showcases architecture from the era of King Rama I.
