- Bangkok - Your custom tour begins in Bangkok. Our guide will ask about your travel inspirations and create a personalized itinerary to make your dream trip come true. See below for a sample itinerary.
- Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market) - We will explore Pak Khlong Talat, Bangkok’s original and largest flower market with a wide selection of produce. Many local florists visit this market early in the morning to buy fresh flowers in bulk for floral crafts. On the way, we will visit the Shrine of Somdet Boonma, one of the key founders of Krung Ratanakosin (Bangkok, Thailand’s current capital). You will see how Thai people use flowers to pay respect to revered figures.
- Wat Kalayanamit Varamahavihara - Enter the Kalayanamitr Temple, which beautifully blends Thai and Chinese Buddhist beliefs. You will pay respect to the Sam Por Kong, one of the largest golden Buddha images in Bangkok. The size of this Buddha image will make you feel small! You will also see beautiful mural paintings of peony flowers, a symbol of the Chinese nation. Witness Thai people paying respect to the Lord Buddha in Chinese tradition using Chinese incense and candles. You will ring the largest bell in Bangkok, which Thai students ring to pray for academic success!
- Chao Mae Guanyin Shrine - The Kuan Im Holy Mother Shrine, known internationally as the Guanyin Shrine, is an ancient Chinese joss house in Bangkok located on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is one of the oldest shrines in Thailand, established by King Taksin. The Guanyin Bodhisattva here is unique because, unlike other shrines where Guanyin is standing, here she is seated. The wood carvings in this temple evoke a sense of antiquity and serenity.
- Kudi Chin - The Portuguese first arrived in Thailand (then Siam) in 1511, over 500 years ago, establishing the first Western relationship with Thailand. The Kudichin neighborhood (Portuguese village) was established before the city’s official founding. In this village, you will have the chance to try Sappayak, a rare snack made of minced pork, Thai chilies, and potatoes sprinkled with tamarind and stuffed in a soft Portuguese-style bun. Don’t miss this place if you love exotic snacks.
- Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun) - Wat Arun, known internationally as the Temple of Dawn, is a landmark temple on the west (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is one of the most spectacular temples in Bangkok, not only because of its riverside location but also because its design is very different from other temples in Bangkok. Wat Arun is made up of colorfully decorated spires and stands majestically over the water.
- Giant Swing - The Giant Swing is a famous landmark in Bangkok. It was formerly used in an old Brahmin ceremony where Thai people climbed high to “test the strength” of the world. The ceremony was performed until 1935 when it was discontinued after several fatal accidents. You will hear the history of the Giant Swing and have an opportunity to take amazing photos here.
- Wat Suthat - Wat Suthat Thepwararam is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand. It is a royal temple of the first grade, one of ten such temples in Bangkok. This temple contains the Buddha image Phra Sri Sakyamuni, which was moved from Sukhothai Province. At the lower terrace of the base, there are 28 Chinese pagodas symbolizing the 28 Buddhas born on this earth. In 2005, the temple was submitted to UNESCO for consideration as a future World Heritage Site.
- Wat Phu Khao Thong (Golden Mount) - The Golden Mount, built under the rule of King Rama V, is 77 meters tall and houses many Buddhist relics found at the ancient city of Kapilavastu. Other interesting features of this Bangkok temple include numerous Buddha images, the temple hall, the pagoda, the scripture hall, and the Sri Maha Bodhi tree. You will “climb” up to the Golden Mountain, where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Bangkok. It’s not a real climb; it’s quite an easy walk.
