I wanted to know if there would be any possibility of getting this show on video? Unfortunately, my daughter's mobile was stolen out of her purse in Phuket. There was a portion of this on video:

Your service was wonderful also.

The whole experience was great, from... -
The whole experience was great, from the arrival at the Mandarin Oriental wonderful!, to the crossing of the river in a beautiful boat and the Sala Rim Naam itself another gorgeous venue. The show was very cultural and fun, the dancers were beautiful and the music, very good. I would change the dinner menu a bit, for some of the dishes were quite underwhelming. One great thing is they had an alternate soup when I informed I did not eat shrimp.

A pity - We were not convinced. Neither the presentation nor the food. Unfortunately, the food is now only offered as a set menu. Otherwise, a la carte food was possible. Unfortunately, the terrace was also closed (which hopefully will not stay that way). The interior was cold and smelled unpleasant. The food was rather average and the price-performance ratio was not right. What a pity!

Good show, decent dinner, scammy surcharges - My wife and I booked the Sala Rim Naam Dinner and Show at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok. We got to the MO about 15mins before our reservation time, took the cute ferry across the Chao Praya River to the restaurant on the other side. We were seated very quickly and got a good table with a great view of the stage for the show. We ordered 2 cocktails which were great (and about 490THB each, pricey but good). The show was actually very well done and the artistes and musicians do a great job. The dinner was Ok, not as mindblowing as one would expect it to be considering the price, the location and the brand esteem of the Mandarin Oriental. Dinner started with appetizers which were good, new and interesting. The entree courses were decent, nothing spectacular. The desserts were a little wierd, we didnt really care for the hard candy type desrt and the candied salted egg yolk that was served. Then came the bill and the reason I give the 3-star review. The dinner and show was 4900 THB in total for 2 persons (my wife and I). There was an additional 350THB charge for Still water (which we were not made aware of prior to), a 10% service charge (about 623 THB) and the 7% VAT (not their fault). We had booked dinner and show assuming the total charge to be 4900THB ($162 USD) which seemed like a good deal. Didnt expect to walk out paying almost $60 extra. They should've made the 10% service charge and the water charge clear upfront. We booked the dinner directly on the MO website, so this is not a reflection on the Tour East tour provider above.

Disappointing and underwhelming - For 200 $ a couple, it was an old ; need to update setup tired looking hall with poor quality food and the dancers were ok but the announcer was bad could not understand a word of the synopsis of the dances. Very very disappointed , I would request a refund as it was marketed very highly class; pictures must be at least 20 years old. Please do not waste your time and money

Tourist trap - Should have just left when we saw only 4 tables in a huge room. Food was an experiment from young cooks i imagine. They obviously do not taste what they are serving. Due to no business the prawn was fishy mushy. Unedibloo e. Service was like everywhere in thailan . Very attentive. But the german matre de. Came by as they cleared each uneaten plate and did not once ask? Best thing was the store bought coconut ice cream. The show was done by employees of hotel and kitchen and was ok but not worth the price or our evening in Bangkok. We left at end and went on the street for excellent fresh seafood in chinatown. My advice to this hotel. Close this down and find a chef
