Sunrise ATV Tour - Great experience. It was a little scary getting to the mountain in the dark, but that’s why it’s a sunrise tour. Our guide Eddie was extremely helpful and patient with us. Unfortunately, the clouds covered the view of the volcano but that’s just the way it goes sometimes. The drive back was fun going through villages and seeing the local area. Have some minor experience driving an ATV recommended.

Activities with kadek and crew - I have had lots of fun with this company, we have done the atv to kintamani great fun, we had been to the elephant temple and zoo and we use them for all of our travel in bali. They have English speaking drivers and they are always happy to help with anything we ask for. I have known kadek and family for about 7 years and they will go the extra mile for you and I trust them with whatever they suggest to do or where to travel. Sue

Stunning - After a early start which is never welcome on holiday we arrived and made off on the ATV's. The ride is interesting with limited light but added to the fun of it once at the top it's a short hike up to watch the sunrise with stunning views the really gem for me was on the way back we stopped at the lake and it was so beautiful it was worth it for that alone All in all it was a good trip at times it got a bit hairy but your in control so go at your own pace it's not a race Would recommend it

Sunrise ATV - We were a bit anxious about our pickup time of 3am from our hotel in Kuta. However, we slept in the car on the way and it was so worth it. We had done an ATV tour before in Bali and Phuket but this was a lot better. The views were second to none and we were so happy to see the real bali. We rode through villages up and down the mountain. It was challenging yet we felt safe. Definitely recommend to anyone. Thanks again to our guides! Renate and David :)

Not for the faint of heart... - We were excited about this tour as a fun alternative to the sunrise hiking of Mt. Batur, and the views of the area and local towns absolutely did not disappoint! However, this tour is *not* for ATV beginners! There are no helmets or safety gear, and the terrain is very advanced up hills/mountains/cliffs. We originally booked the 12p tour, and after some confusion with the drivers (who are the tour operators), our day started with a 3am pickup in Ubud by two drivers, arriving to our ATVs and ATV guides by 430a. After a quick one-minute demo of the brakes/pedals/gears/etc, we were off. The roads traveled to the first viewpoint are very dark and up winding hillsides. Once at the top, you are served a light breakfast before hiking up the last bit of peak for the viewpoint. The views really are great, looking at at Mt. Batur, the caldera, and out over the water to Lombok (cloud permitting) for sunrise. The ATV route back to town included a drive up another mountainside (caldera views route?) that felt far too difficult and dangerous for the average tourist rider. They were narrow, dirt roads on sheer cliffs. Locals took them no problem, but for an inexperienced foreigner it was far too risky a route. One of our party opted to ride down in a car after the first viewpoint, and I got scared and bailed about half way up the second. The ATV guides were very patient and gracious and drove my vehicle for me. The rest of the way down (once on ground level) was a beautiful ride through backroads, and I enjoyed the sights of the towns, farms and villages. Once done with the ATVs, we traveled to taste the local Luwak coffee, which was a pleasant quick stop. Overall, the views and the sightseeing are good, and were a good alternative to tourist hordes on Mt. Batur. But, genuine fear for our safety clouded our total enjoyment of this outing. The ATV guides were also very kind and patient, which we appreciated. They were very skilled and professional, and responsive to our concerns. The drivers to/from Ubud stayed mostly on their phones and were strictly drivers, not tour guides. Again, great views but this tour felt far too advanced and dangerous for the average rider. Definitely not a tour for children. Might’ve been more accessible as strictly a hike!
