Highlights
 • Blahbatuh - Meet your professional guide upon pickup at your hotel for your full-day sightseeing tour of Bali. Hop aboard your comfortable coach, which stops at each site for approximately 30-45 minutes.

Your first stop is the village of Blahbatuh, home to Bali’s only surviving gong-smith, who is an expert at casting bronze to make Balinese musical instruments. At a factory, watch the fascinating process of creating an entire gamelan orchestra — from large gongs to tiny bells. Your guide will describe the ancient method of casting metal components of the xylophone-like instruments for each gamelan.

 • Arca Building Archaeological Museum - Next, your guide will take you on a tour of the Archaeological Museum, also known as the Gedung Arca Museum. Located in Bedulu Village, approximately 4 miles (7 km) from Ubud and 18 miles (30 km) from Denpasar, the museum displays historical and pre-historical collections dating back to the Stone Age. You’ll see bronze bells used as religious tools in the 15th century and view huge stone sarcophagi — ancient royal coffins dating back to 500 BC.
 • Kintamani Highland - In the cool mountains of Kintamani, take in the views of Mt Batur. Black lava runs from the peak of this active volcano to the valley floor, where the shimmering Lake Batur — Bali’s widest lake — lies at its base. Stop here for a delicious lunch (own expense), served in a local restaurant offering an Indonesian buffet and magnificent vistas. Marvel at the crescent-shaped lake, surrounded by the steep walls of the crater rim where the original Mt Batur erupted tens of thousands of years ago.
 • Penglipuran - After lunch, make your way to the traditional village of Penglipuran. Wander with your guide through a bamboo plantation, and learn about the ancient beliefs and unique customs the locals maintain.
 • KISSIDAN ECO HILL RETREAT & RESTO - Finally, head to Bukit Jati, located in Gianyar, where you’ll partake in afternoon tea and coffee, served as you enjoy views of the rice fields and the blue sea beyond.

I saw the batik, jewellery, wood carving all being made at different places. The mount Batur view was absolutely beautiful but my real highlight was the coffee tasting!! Thank you !!

Coffee place was nice and seeing the workplaces near Ubud was cool. u have to pay for lunch, but the place Wadee took me (Panca Yoga Restaurant) was a buffet and they asked for 125k. I only had 100k and they accept. Food ok

We were hoping to get a real... -
We were hoping to get a real experience of seeing Bali and some of this tour fulfilled it. There were several stops at places where the locals did arts like textiles, painting and wooden sculptures, describing how they made the artifacts and we had to basically walk through these places in hopes of buying something. Some of these places were interesting in terms of seeing how they made their products but other places like the place with paintings and making of silver jewellery was a waste of time and was clearly just a stop to shop. The coffee plantation and village we stopped at was very informative and great because they were not typical touristy stops and the village really gives a true authentic glimpse of the Balinese village life. The stop at the volcano and the lunch was also a nice visit. Some of this tour was really educational but some of it seemed too much of a shopping trip and it could have been shorter were it not for a few of these stops. Overall, its worth going on.

Our guide Windra was kind enough to... -
Our guide Windra was kind enough to rearrange his itinerary, to leave out places we had already been and to add things we hadn't seen the previous day on our similar Highlights tour. Started out with the Barong Dance Show -- very enjoyable! Then lunch at a place called Rapuan Cili -- very good food, good prices, and a lovely view of green fields and a blue swimming pool below. Then we visited a traditional village called Penglipuran. We were allowed to go into a family's home and see their humble circumstances and backyard garden. From there we saw the community temple, then walked beyond the town, to see the bamboo forest. After that, we were supposed to go to a scenic lookout to view the terraced rice fields however, we were taken to a non-tourist overlook that was overgrown and smelly. Then we got dropped off at a huge jewelry store, when we were expecting to see jewelry-making craftspeople. The day was great for the most part, but the last 2 stops were very unnecessary -- we would rather have gone back to our hotel early..

Instead rushed through and dropped off at the airport 2 hours early. As DPS does not permit checking in until 3 hours prior to flight time I had a long wait at the airport. There is no seating in the precheckin area. People just sit on metal rails or lie down on the tile floor.

I found this trip very... -
I found this trip very disappointing. It seemed for 3 hours of the trip I was taken to many places with an expection of buying, silver, paintings, wood carvings, coffee and clothing/handbags. As a tourist I do understand there is a need for us to visit places for 5 different places in one day is too many and the time could have been used taking me to see the sights. I did enjoy the volcano view and also the coffee/tea tasting but I don't think this trip was value for money and then other trips we did were better. I wouldn't recommend this trip
