Truly magical experience - Truly magical experience! The ceremony is wonderful and difficult to describe. I really recommend taking the time in this experience. Most importantly, have a good guide that can explain clearly not only the sacred ceremony but also about the history of Bali and how these ceremonies come to be. We had the luck to have Made Surya as our driver and tour guide. He really made the long rides interesting and the experience truly unique for us. So generous. Matur suksma Made Surya! Ps. My only suggestion is to take off all jewelry before starting the ceremony.

Something I will never forget - highly recommended - Was an amazing experience and highly recommend if you have the time. It wasn't busy when we were there in the morning so it didn't feel rushed. The 2 x guides took us through each water station and showed us what to do by giving an offering and asking permission to be cleansed. You have to walk through barefoot across rocks and a little climbing involved but it is well worth it. It took just over an hour from Ubud and the whole process took around 1.5 hours. You have to wear swimmers and you are then dressed in a ceremonial sarong. We never drank the water but put to our lips. Afterwards our driver took us to a Balinese house and then an amazing place for lunch.

Good experience (read for more info!) - The experience in its self was very good. Our guide was so nice and guided us through the whole process. However, if you’re looking to do only the purification ceremony, then don’t chose this package. This package includes a driver for 10 hours, hence the price, but it doesn’t say anywhere. The purification ceremony alone costs around 30k rupiah, so this package is ridiculous if you only want the ceremony. Thankfully we didn’t have any other plans that day so we had a great time with our driver and got value for the money, but it’s unfortunate with this type of misleading information. It’s unfortunate that Viator are willing to compromise their reputation by leaving this type of information out.
