The Gambia experience - I had a great time in The Gambia. Jariatou was a very nice guide. She picked me up at the airport and brought some beverages. The next day, we had a nice trip around Banjul. She was very flexible and adjusted the schedule to include some extra activities due to my flight delay. I even met some members of her family and had a great time with them.

Wonderful experience - An unforgettable beautiful day in Gambia Baku city .
Got opportunity to climb highest building Arch 22 and watch the beautiful view of Atlantic Ocean where Gambian river meet up with .Then we went passed stadium,Prison , government buildings
and spent the time in the African side of Market going around fruit , fish, meat , vegetables and clothes stalls.
Way back we visited oyster farms and crocodile pool . Many people visit it because of the unique experience of touching the real-life crocodile. The guides were also very nice.On the whole we recommend this tour gladly.

A Morning wander through Banjul - With only a few days in Gambia, I wanted to have a small experience of Banjul. A quick Google and booked a morning tour with Kassama Tours, Jarry checked in via text a few days before tour checking all was good. Arrived early to the hotel on day of tour. Energetic & Enthusiastic to share the sights, sounds and history of Banjul. In the blink of an eye we were ending our tour and returning to hotel, after a morning of memories and many many laughs with Jarry. While we only booked a morning tour, Kassama Tours, can arrange everything from airport pick-up, day trips to safari in Senegal and all that Gambia has to experience as a tourist, a one stop-shop.

Unusual delightful trip - We booked the Banjul, culture and history tour, we were told via whats app the time for pickup and who would pick us up. On the day at port it was a bit confusing to find the pickup area it turned out to be outside the port gates. We stood with about 14 other people (of different ages and abilities) who has booked slightly different tours but it turned out we were all meeting the same person. We were waiting for 2 more guests show up but they never came. The mini bus turned up after a while and some people were a little concerned about the size of the transport for 16 people, it looked like a 8 seater mini bus but with the seats taken out and some benches fitted in there place. Any way we all got in and it was a cosy fit. Banjul is a very busy area and be prepared for it. We first visited the market which was an eye opener to be sure, we had a guide explaining everything to us. Next was the museum which only took local currency which none of us had (it would be helpful if any entrance fees were added to the cost of the tour to save this problem in future). The bank across the road sent someone over to the museum to change cash for (very helpful you wouldn't get this anywhere else). We changed some dollars and paid to go in (nobody else on our trip did). We quite enjoyed the the museum its not like you would get anywhere else out of Africa but interesting all the same. The next stop was Arch 22 again we were the only 2 in the group to go up and to be fair this was a great place to go (apart from the walk upstairs, easy for some) the views were great and at the top the tour guide was excellent at is job and very informative. Then back to the port. I can see why it may not be everyones cut of tea but we really enjoyed the day , we don'tmind roughing it at times and i do have problemswith my knees. Jarry was a good guide and a lovely person.

The Gambia was disappointing as a place to visit. - I was disappointed by my visit to Gambia. If they wish to encourage tourism then they will have to make a much greater effort than they are doing at present. I know it is a poor country but they need to clean up all the rubbish and wrecked vehicles that are by the roadside, they need to spend money on improving things like Kunta Kinteh Slavery museum and island fort. They also need to stop the constant nagging of tourists for money and tips, this is a really bad cultural thing, even in our hotel we had staff saying how poor they were and one actually kept telling us he had not had any breakfast and did we have any food to give him.
The government needs to urgently work on improving the infrastructure and facilities for tourists, particularly cleaning up the country to make it attractive place to visit.

Not the best tour I have... - Not the best tour I have been on. Rather a decrepit mini bus and filled to capacity. The guides were perfectly pleasant and did their best but we stopped after the tour of Banjul although we had also booked an afternoon tour.

Not worth the money - This tour should be titled a ride into the city not titled in actual tour. The guide said absolutely nothing to the whole group. Basically she had her little brother with her and he actually answered questions. They packed 18 of us in a vehicle that would normally hold 10 the upside was that they were Celebrating national women’s day so the downtown area had a speech and a lot of activity going on. The museum and to go up into the tower cost extra they did not take any type of credit card when we mentioned that the woman got a money exchanger, but then she only had enough money to exchange for one person. The sellers in the local market would take dollars euros and pounds. We were on a cruise ship and saw several tours doing the exact same thing we did with the exact not so great results.

The tour team turned up... - The tour team turned up more than half an hour late. The vehicle was in poor condition with 17 people packed into it (14 customers and 3 in the tour team. The highlights were limited to the market, the museum of Gambia and Arch 22. There was no commentary. Information had to be obtained by asking questions. All in all very disappointing.

Totally Disappointed - There were 16 guests plus 2 tour guides and a driver, total 19 people had to squeeze in a small van. Both guides were very unprofessional,
they never gave information until we raised some questions. The meeting time was 9:00 AM, but we didn't leave until 9:30. The tour was supposed to be 4 hours long, but we were taken back to port by 12:30 PM. We're very disappointed about the tour and will never recommend it to anyone.
