An exceptional journey - A tour that met my expectations, responsibility and punctuality were excellent, food was included and delicious. Carolina was an exceptional guide who supported me in what I needed, took pictures of me and gave me important information about the places we traveled. It is a quiet trip, I recommend to bring insect repellent and sunblock, the weather was warm even though in Quito it was very cold, so you do not need such a heavy coat. I had a lot to know, if I can come back I would definitely repeat it.

Full day trip with great views. - Banos is hours away from Quito. The long trip was spent sightseeing. It was nice to get out of the city. Ricky stopped for pictures, a snack and of course bathrooms. The scenery at Baños is just like the pictures, wonderful. He has personal connections with the various vendors. We even got to turn the spit on Guinea Pig roasting.

An amazing experience with memories for life - Pedro was a brilliant guide and so full of knowledge pointing out sights and sharing facts along the way. I took an English speaking tour, and he was amazing. I can’t recommend this tour enough, and going in October was perfect as there were no queues and we had most places to ourselves to really soak in the beautiful scenery.

Let’s go again - What an amazing experience we had today in Banos and the Devils Couldran! Pedro was a great guide who gave us lots of information and told us about the locals! He was prompt, friendly, spoke good English and had lots of laughs with us.

Good guide - The guide was very good. It was a long ride and he found a good balance between talking all the time and telling us about the things we were passing. He knew a lot about the various plants we were seeing when hiking. My only complaint is that the description didn't give any detail about the difficulty of the hiking...or even that there WAS hiking. We would have dressed differently had we understood.

A perfect day - This tour is packed with great activities! Pedro was my guide. He commented through WhatsApp with me the night before. He was punctual and very knowledgeable about the volcanoes around Quito. After three hours drive which was not boring at all and he stopped and we bought this delicious ice cream! After arriving at Baños we went to the market and had empanadas and a kind of juice that made from a fermented fruit, it was not bad. Then we drove up to the cable car and cross the river to the waterfall. I chose to hike back to the car. It’s just an hour but the altitude sickness got the worst of me! Pedro was patient and gave me a hand when going downhill as it was wet and slippery. The best part was Rambo the dog, he accompanied us all the way down! Then we went to a bigger and more majestic one. Then we went to lunch, all these were included. I had the best grilled trout I ever had! It was grilled to perfection and the garlic sauce was so delicious! Even the French fries were delicious! After lunch we went to the treehouse. I am afraid of heights and had indicated I didn’t really want to do the swings. But I am so glad I did that! I faced my fears head on and I found that I do like it a lot! I still have my shoes and glasses 😆😆 I just love this tour and Pedro is a great tour guide!

Pedro does a great Banos tour! Everything was included. It was nearly 12 hours, but very worth it. - Pedro, our guide, and Catalina, our driver, provided an excellent experience. Pedro provided a lot of information on the drive including history, geology, culture, flora, fauna and interesting information about the different ecosystems we were driving through. We began in Banos, walking through the Sunday market. Pedro pointed out a lot of the local fruits and vegetables; buying several for us to taste. We continued down the main street, through a couple of plazas and ended at the church. Pedro and Catalina walked back to get the car, allowing us time to tour the church. We walked the beautiful flower gardens at the “Treehouse” followed by a delicious lunch at Pumamaqui Restaurant. We were offered two soups and three mains. We chose chicken soup and trout. Both were delicious. The cable car across the top of Bridal Veil Falls was fun. The highlight of the day was the Devil’s Cauldron waterfall area. The first falls, Cascada del Arcangel San Miquel, were smaller. The walk down to the Garganta del Salto Pilon del Diablo was not bad. The return quite strenuous. The route includes 2 suspension bridges (one was 120’ long, 15° decline), multiple steps and steep paths. But oh, the views! So worth it. Pedro was wonderful, encouraging these two 70+ year olds to take whatever time we needed to do the climb. The drive back was complicated by heavy Sunday traffic, rain and accidents, taking nearly 4 hours. But we had no concerns. Catalina was a great driver. We felt very safe with her.
