Amazing tour and even better guide - Ijen was beautiful, despite not seeing the blue fire it was 100% worth it. The sunrise at the summit was out of this world. Our guide Qim Qim was incredible. He is so friendly and knowledgeable, he made us all laugh and taught us a great deal about Ijen. Hike up to the summit was short (approx 1 hour) and relaxed as you can go at your own pace. At the end of the tour Qim Qim helped us plan the rest of our journey through Java.

100% worth it!!! - the tour with qim qim and kiki was such an amazing experience. everything was so easy to arrange and qim qim is the most energetic, enthusiastic and honest guide you‘ll ever get. from the very first moment it was like meeting an old friend who happens to take you to a volcano and know every little bit about it - we really had an extraordinary night thanks to those guys!!

Brilliant - This tour was really good although gutted that we couldn't see the natural blue flames but it's natural so it's a hit and miss. Our guide Qim Qim was super amazing as well as the co guide Kiki.

We couldn’t have asked... - We couldn’t have asked for better guides than Qim Qim and Kiki Kiki for our volcano Ijen adventure! From the start, their organization and communication were seamless, with a problem-solving approach that made everything run smoothly.
Qim Qim is a true volcano of positive energy, always creating an incredibly friendly and cheerful atmosphere. Both Qim and Kiki were exceptionally prepared as guides, showing extraordinary care for the group throughout the tour. Their dedication to going the extra mile ensured a truly unforgettable and professional experience.

A beautiful experience - Beautiful experience and unforgettable landscape, requiring a little physical effort however to climb to (and descend from) the top. The Guide was fantastic and the team that accompanied him very effective.

Best choice in terms of value for the money. - Well worth it. There is now much choice in seeing Ijen, due to limited access times. But if you want to pick a tour, this is probably the right one. Very pushing guide. Were the first ones up there. :)
On thing that probably won't happen anymore is the big blue fire. But if you ask me, it is overrated. The view from the top is, what you want to see.

The climb is quite difficult but worth it.

There were no blue flames today but they lit a small one for us and I advise you to bring protective glasses, it stings the eyes!

Amazing views from Ijen with a great guide - We had great morning with our guide Aji. Very friendly guy and he took us to some really good spots on the mountain where we made some amazing photos. He explained about the blue fire and answered all our questions. Also we had some good talks with him about Indonesia and other stuff. I was very happy that Aji surprised us with coffee at the top, since it was a bit cold because of the wind. His English is very good. Everything he told and explained us, was very clear. He also made some pictures of us together. The trip is really worth it. The view is fantastic.

No blue fire - There is a lack of honesty in the advertisement of these tours. Please not there is very little chance of seeing the blue fire anymore. Tourists no longer go down to the edge of the crater and therefore unless there are very high winds, you will not see anything.
This means you will have a tough hike in the middle of the night for no blue fire. Yes, you will see the sunrise over the ijen lake but personally I would much rather do this in the day when crowds are less and I have slept.
