Great experience! - We have never ridden ebikes. We had a fun time seeing the sights without getting overly tired. What a great experience. It was one of our favorite memories from our trip.

Fabulous adventure on E-Bikes - We had an amazing time on the Carriage trails yesterday. We were able to see so much more than we would have on regular bikes. Brad was amazing and super patient getting us comfortable with the bikes. They are the only place with the fat tires which I think helped with the ride. Highly recommend renting from Brad and exploring the trails. We won’t go anywhere else to rent. We will be back for another E-Bike adventure or maybe try our hand at kayaking. Thanks so much to all the staff. You were all wonderful

Lots of fun on the carriage trails - The folks at Maine State Kayak and E-bike were really great getting me oriented to my fat-tire e-bike. The gave me all the instructions, provided a map and a tiny first aid kit. They also have light backpacks to borrow although I had my own. The carriage trails in Acadia National Park are wide and well kept. It was a fun ride once I was in the park without cars. I highly recommend this outfitter!

Awesome ebike adventure! - Awesome ebike adventure. The employes of the Maine State Sea Kayak were amazing! Gave excellent directions on how to use the ebike as we had not done it before! My only advise is book directly with Maine State Sea Katak...not throught Viator as you will pay more!!

Great! - Great trip. The team was welcoming and knowledgeable, giving very good instructions. The bikes were easy to manage and made experiencing the carriage trails a breeze. Call them direct to schedule your trip as most travel websites add a $15 up charge

eBikes are great fun and perfect in Acadia - We had three families all with kids aged 7 - 9 and had a great time in Acadia cruising on ebikes. The RadWagons are awesome; you can fit two littler kids or one bigger one, and they're way better for kids this age then the trailers. I can't think of a better way to explore the carriage roads in Acadia. Nervous bike riders soon got the hang of it, and they are so low-effort that my creaky knees felt great afterward. We booked with Maine State last minute after an alternate ebike company realized they'd messed up our reservation - and I'm really glad they did.

Everything was perfect - Everything was great, we were told exactly where to go and we went very early. We had no problems with the bikes and were given great detail of how to get to the park.

Excellent experience! - Our first time on bikes and they gave us a quick and easy tutorial and we were on our way with map, water, helmets and our backpacks. We were blessed with a perfect afternoon weatherwise, it had rained that morning and was breezy and cloudy all afternoon. Perfect explanation of carriage road riding options and what we could expect in terms of difficulty and other riders. We had driven through the park and did Cadillac Mountain that morning so we had a general feel of the layout of the park. We saw other bike guided tours and were soooo glad we did our own, no waiting for others who were stragglers or were much faster or slower. We did the mountain loop, stopped at Jordan pond for popovers and a beer, did the Eagle Lake Loop, and Witch Hole loop. Came back with about 4 bars of power left. Great adventure and would do it again!

Great bikes, Need better map in and out. - The bikes were superior to those from a guided trip we did two days before. They are new Rad bikes with the throttle disabled so they became Class1. We enjoyed our self guided trip a lot, (but I’m glad I had a guided trip my first time out.) This company is awesome. Super friendly, helpful. But reason not a 5 is because the trip to and from the Carriage Roads was not clearly defined. My suggestion is they should guide the group into the carriage road. And on the return, a better explaination how to get back via the crosswalk. They verbally explained how to go in, where to find the crosswalk, etc, but still some in our party crossed four busy lanes with no light or crosswalk. So dangerous. We went the sidewalk to the crosswalk, but then some walker told us the park bridge was closed and we had to ride on the busy loop road with cars to get to the park entrance. We had 4 fun hours, 28 miles, but when going back we asked Siri how to get back and she sent us to the busy 4-land intersection with no traffic lights or crosswalk. Urgh. Very scary crossing there, and somebody is going to get hurt. The company could have made their own inset on the Acadia map (they provided) that told us how to get back to the crosswalk intersection. That’s my suggestion! From there it’s easy to get back to their shop. All in all, I’d definitely rent from Maine State E-Bikes! Just make sure you know your way to and from the Carriage Roads via the crosswalk!
