Made me want to return for more - Wide ranging conversation and stops that matched my interests, my timetable (wanted to get back to the ship early) and taught me so much about Barbados that I want to come back! No time for the Mount Gay rum distillery, so that will have to happen the next time :-)

Adaptable tour of the whole island -
Deborah was an inspiring and adaptable guide. Despite the rainy weather we brought from the UK, she ensured we enjoyed a full island tour of Barbados. From Bridgetown to the East Coast’s stunning new road, up to the animal caves in the north, and back to the West Coast, every stop was memorable. Lunch at a local spot was a wonderful, authentic touch. Highly recommended!

Deborah was an incredible... - Deborah was an incredible tour guide! She was not only extremely knowledgeable but also genuinely kind, funny, and engaging. Exploring Barbados with Deborah - We had great experience traveling with our tour guide Debbie. She is very knowledgeable of the history, attraction sites, landmarks in Barbados. She tailored tour to meet our interest, and at the end of tour we were more than happy and excited to discover Barbados from new perspective. We were at Barbados 9 years ago, but with this tour we discovered new landmarks, attractions, parks and towns. We highly recommend tour with Debbie. She is friendly, good driver, comfortable car, knowledgeable and is very good with kids.

Wonderful Insight to Barbados History and Culture with a local! - We had the best day with Deborah! From the moment we met her at the cruise terminal, we knew we were in for a special day. Deborah knows the island inside and out and gave us an incredible tour - taking us to some of her favourite places with great photo stops and giving us an overview of the history and culture of the island. Barbados can’t be done in a day but Deborah knows the highlights and made sure we had a wonderful day. If you want to converse and meet a wonderful local, hear about the island’s history and find out about life in Barbados, this is the tour for you! Deborah was kind, passionate and a historic expert and is heavily involved in many different communities on the island and I will really treasure our insightful conversations. I came away with a lot of food for thought and felt like we spent the day with a friend, thank you for everything Deborah!

Unforgettable fun private tour with Deborah - We were traveling with the cruise and previously booked a private full-day tour (6 hours) «Barbados through the eyes of a local» with this provider via their website uncomplicated & prepaid.
Deborah, our tour guide was on time and is very polite, knowledgeable and well-positioned. We laughed a lot together. This tour was very informative and learned a lot more about the island, flora & fauna, culture and history.
We made many stops around the island. There is much to discover. Many picturesque towns & houses, museums, countless breathtaking views. Unfortunately, at the end of the tour, the weather did not play along and we improvised uncomplicated, adjusted the plan. We absolutely must come back.
It was a full day in complete satisfaction. We have seen, experienced and ate well locally. We can highly recommend this tour and would book a private tour with Deborah again.

Best 6 Hours Tour of Barbados with Chattel House - What an amazing experience with Debra, our guide for the day, and our awesome driver, Fernando. Prompt pickup, transportation van with the most important elements: air condition, water, great conversation. Learning about Barbados from someone born and raised there is so exciting. Debra was a wealth of information, from history, to the grapefruit trees, to the new high rise buildings that were just being built. We were able to send her a list of places we were interested in going, and of course, her recommendations. Unfortunately, we did not get to Harrison's Cave, it was closed for a special event but Debra made up for that with a shopping stop and my favorite, Animal Flower Cave. The lunch was good and the site was just beautiful. I took a tour of the cave. It really wasn't about the sightseeing, that was great, but Debra and Fernando was just like family. Our group already decided on the trip back in 2026 and Chattel House Audio Tours Inc. will be on our itinerary.
