We really enjoyed it, here our one tip... - We had a private driver on two different days going to see the sights. My only thought on private drivers is your experience will vary based on the personality of the driver, even if you don't want any experience at all. I would suggest be very clear about your expectations. Do you want a quiet drive or chit chat? Stay on the course or a Bajan surprise? Fast or slow? If you don't like communicating expectations, you may do better with a group bus driver. Harrison's Cave had a lot more to offer than we realized, and even the cave tour itself is a nice long tour, I think we spent at least 45 minutes in the cave. The Wildlife Preserve was really interesting with several trails and another secret cave that we were brave enough to make our way through. The monkey's there are a lot of fun.

A good tour of Barbados - Scenic tour of Barbados, Harrison's cave better than expected, nature preserve also quite nice, with turtles and monkeys and other critters in abundance, and our guide (not sure of spelling, Shaquille?) was very friendly, informative, and showed us some details of the island and its life that we would otherwise have missed.

Viewing the island - The tour guide was informative and friendly, at the Harrison Caves too. The views were spectacular and especially being in an air condition vehicle.

Wonderful Tour, Breathtaking Views, but Felt Rushed - We did the “go as you please” tour with Sun Tours to 3 locations; The Wildlife Reserve, Animal Flower Cave, and the “Soup Bowl”. We went to St. Lucy, the northernmost point of Barbados, to see Animal Flower Cave. The sky was blue but the waves were waving so the cave was closed. The cave is 400,000 to 500,000 years old and is supposed to have pools you can swim in. (Definitely want to come back and see it someday!) Stopped at the Wildlife Reserve to watch the green monkeys, deer, and lots of chickens run around. The place is quite small but the monkey feeding was super cool. Then we went to Bathsheba “The Soup Bowl” in St. Joseph. The beach is named after the wife of King David and has gorgeous rock formations that sit in the Atlantic Ocean. I’m rating 4 stars instead of 5 because our driver seemed extremely rushed and from experience just not very “into” his job. We don’t feel like we had enough time at the different locations.

Full day really with poor communication - We did the cave and critter tour with pickup. The description says the tour is 4 hours. The issue is there is no info on pick up times and how long you would be in a an uncomfortable bus with no suspension. We were picked up at 830 and were on a bus until 11am picking up other people. At the end of the day we were the last to get dropped off, another 2 hours on a bus. So yes, the tour time was 4 hours but there was 4 additional hours on a bus. There was little info from bus driver at the wildlife reserve. At the cave we waited on the first floor for 45 minutes. We were not given the option to go downstairs to where the food court was. When we did get called for the tour of cave and taken down the elevator then there was no time to eat. So essentially there was no time to have lunch. So I would advise, get your own taxi there, do not take a bus, plan this being an 8 hour trip, and pack a lot of snacks. The cave tour with Kyle and Pete was the highlight to an otherwise difficult day.

Don’t use this tour company - I was emailed the morning before (after taking my money) saying they found out I was not staying at the hotel I wanted to be picked up. Nowhere did it say I had to be staying at pickup location (they did not have the option to pick up where I was renting and I knew that hotel was a short walk). I didn’t get the email until we returned from a full day out without wifi. By the time they replied to me the next morning I was told they cancelled the excursion because I didn’t get back to them soon enough.when I asked to be put back on, they said it was fully booked. Which I call bullsh*t on since it’s July and tourism is at a low right now. We ended up having to pay a cab to take us to Harrison’s cave hoping we would be able to get in - which we did because it’s so dead here right now. Do not use this tour company - take a taxi, pay less and support a local just trying to make a living.
