I am Simone Vergamini, “Best Sommelier of Tuscany 2023”, and I also secured 3rd place in the Best Sommelier of Italy in 2018, 2021, and 2022. It will be my pleasure to guide you through the finest wineries. Throughout our journey, I will share the rich history, traditions, and unique characteristics of the area and its vineyards.
We will visit two magnificent wineries that epitomize the Chianti Classico region. After exploring the vineyards and cellars, we will indulge in tasting the exquisite wines they produce. Our lunch will be at the Gagliole estate in Panzano in Chianti (FI), following our vineyard and cellar tour. In the afternoon, we will head to the Monsanto Castle in Barberino Val d’Elsa (FI). Should any of the wineries be unavailable, I will gladly inform you of the alternative options, which typically include Bibbiano in Castellina in Chianti (SI) and Molino di Grace in Panzano in Chianti (FI).
