Great Educational Experience - Jelena was a fantastic tour guide, teaching us about the history of Barcelona and Catalonia, as well as the development of the architecture here and how it has spread its wings to influence architecture globally. Highly recommend this experience!

Very informative and enjoyable - A good mixture of history and architecture of Barcelona from the Romans to modern days with the main focus on Gaudi's work. Factual and informative, explaining why things were built the way they were built. It was a perfect introduction to Barcelona on our first day here. Very well delivered. Was nice to chat to Pia at the midpoint break. Many thanks for a lovely tour.

Fabulous way to learn all about Gaudi and Barcelona! - We met Pia for a private tour. Very knowledgeable and has so many anecdotes and nuances about the city. Pia, originally from Mexico but has lived in Barcelona for years blends a local and outsiders point of view beautifully. She masters the whole picture - history, politics, religion and the social economy! Intuitively explains everything so there are no questions! Excellent guide, thanks Pia!

The best way to learn about Barcelona - For those who are interested in a deeper understanding of the history, political history, architecture and urban planning of Barcelona, this tour was incredible! Like condensing a semester college course into a pleasurable four hours, I came away with such a deeper understanding off the city and its history! Pita was an amazing teacher and made everything accessible whether you are a student of architecture and planning or a layman who just wants to be more knowledgeable. The pace was great and she supplemented the actual sites with additional information to give a full perspective. If you want more than the simple explanation you can get from a mass market tour, then this is for you. If we had more time, we would have taken all of the tours!

If you like history and architecture - you'll love this tour! - We had an outstanding tour with Pia who did an awesome job weaving together centuries of history and architecture in Barcelona to set the context for Gaudi. One of the most engaging and stimulating tours I have been on, packed full of interesting information. A highlight of our visit to Barcelona!

Architectural enthusiast’s delight - My husband and I greatly enjoyed our architectural walking tour with our guide, Pía. Pía has a wealth of knowledge and brought the history of Barcelona to life! Additionally, it was an incredible honor to learn about city’s rich architectural history (past and present) from someone who has practiced the field and is now currently teaching architecture to university students. If you have an appreciation for architecture and learning the significance of Barcelona’s beautiful structures beyond the facade, I highly recommend taking a tour with Barcelona Architecture Walks!

Some interesting info but not nearly enough about Gaudi and Barcelona! - We took this tour expecting it to be (because of the title!) mostly about Gaudi. Instead, our guide, who is a very experienced and informed Barcelona architect, talked about a million other things except Gaudi. Some of it was interesting, about Barcelona's architecture, but way too much of it was about things she apparently found interesting about details of how things are built (many of them nothing directly to do with Gaudi or Barcelona) that she seemed to find interesting. I became afraid to ask her any questions for fear that she would go off on some tangent and we'd never get to the main topic of the tour. To be fair, I did learn some things, but I would not do this tour again if it went the same way it went for us.
