Great first day activity - We love the hop on/hop off busses as a first day activity in a new city. A great way to get an overview of what the city has to offer. There were some issues with too many folks wanting to get on at stops near the end and we had a wait a while.

Excellent - Great way to see the city. Both routes really good. Loved the views from the red route when it went up high. We then took the cable car to the castle. Well worth it.

Spend your money elsewhere - I would not recommend. So many stop lights, the bus is constantly stopping. The audio is not all that informative. I did not feel like the stops were all that interesting. Money is better spent on a metro bus or Uber to get to a specific sight/location you are interested in.

A very unhappy customer - Prior to my trip to Barcelona, I received a text from you stated that on October 16, I had a reservation hop on hop off bus 10 o’clock in the morning. We got on the bus and the employee scanned and took my voucher. We went to the top deck, and she then came up a few minutes later and handed the receipt to us with no directions whatsoever. I should say it was quite windy on top. We believe it flew away. When we were going to disembark, she informed us that when we wanted to re-enter the bus we would have to show our receipt. I then realized I didn’t have it. There must be some sort of procedure to deal with this because I’m sure this is occurred before. When I showed her my voucher on my phone that clearly stated it was on October 16. She said it didn’t matter. I asked whether a manager could be called and she said no as that was their procedure. You must show it upon re-entering the bus, I was very upset and, we wound up having to take taxis for the remainder of our day getting from place to place. I feel this was a wasted trip and I would like a reimbursement for the $60 I spent on my two senior tickets. Please take care of this matter. I thank you in advance. Yours truly, Ronnie Krell.

Enjoyable visual overview of Barcelona. - Good to see a range of Barcelona areas and attractions in one event, however, the speaker on the audio was difficult to understand, so many of the attractions could not be identified or matched to the map.

Poor quality, recommend to go with other operator - Disappointing overall. Very short pre-recorded commentary, repeating itself numerous times. Some sockets didn’t work, quality of the audio was poor. Both routes are too busy, never enough space upstairs on the buses. Bus tours of other cities by the same company have been much better. Would suggest using the other main company who seem to get far better reviews in Barcelona.

We were treated poorly, stranded, thrown off buses we had paid for and the complaints mechanism is lipservice - Awful system - stranded disabled traveler and rude staff. As a disabled sole parent (I have had a near fatal brain haemorrhage, I have fibromyalgia), I book assistance at the airport, but as this option was not available on the website I chose travel options which I can manage easily. As your company seemed to offer a perfect way to see the city, I chose this 48 hour ticket. Sadly, we only used it twice, once segrada Familliar to Pedrada, this was at 4.30 ish on Tuesday. We intended to use it again for 2 tours blue and red before we went on Thursday, I called the helpline twice to issue a new code. The first didn’t work at all, the second worked just for one brief trip to Miramar where we were not allowed to get on one bus who had a bank of 4 seats but claimed to be full, we waited for 45 minutes over all then The second turned us away and we waited another 30 minutes for a cab. Over all, we have been massively put out by Viator and I will be posting reviews on all disability travel website as treating disabled customers like this is discriminatory and potentially illegal.

Waste of money - There was no way to find out the name of the bus company. It was not called Hop On or anything like it. We wasted our money and two hours of our time looking for the bus stop by the Pickle.

Hop-on-Hop-off Ticket Scam - Be aware of the Hop-on-Hop-off Ticket Scam. I was in Barcelona for a few days after a Cruise. I purchased a ticket and was given a receipt for the City Tour at the Basílica de la Sagrada Familia booth. When I boarded the bus, the Bus Tour manager asked for my ticket and kept it as proof that I had paid for the tour. This should have been a Red Flag that something was wrong because I had been on a Hop-Off Tour at several locations before, and this didn’t sound right, but I didn’t speak Spanish, so it was difficult to question her request. After about 30 minutes, I got off the bus and walked around for a few minutes at one of the historic sites. When I tried to reboard the next tour bus, the bus tour manager asked for my ticket, and I showed her my receipt and explained that the other bus manager kept my ticket. I couldn’t get on the Bus and continue my Tour without the Original Ticket. They didn’t care that I had a receipt with a date and time stamp of an hour earlier. I’m not sure how far I was from my Hotel, but I was not going to buy another Ticket from this Tour company. I was in a remote area of the city but eventually was able to flag down a taxi for a ride back to my Hotel. Lessons Learned: Keep your Receipt and Ticket with you at all times. Don’t let the Bus Tour Manager keep your ticket for any reason. If you have an issue with the Tour Manager, get off the Bus and try the next one. Always travel with enough money in case you get stranded somewhere.

Fawlty Towers meets On The Buses - Hmmmm - I’m trying to feel grateful that I had an open air seat as we sat is cascades of traffic with an out of sync pre recorded commentary. I’m trying not to feel to judgey about the hordes and tired, and hence rude and pushy travellers trying to get onto the bus after waiting much longer than promised times. The angry crowd turns within - they accuse each other of pushing in the line (if only we knew what we were so urgent to experience was a tour experience akin to Fawlty Towers . ) I couldn’t wait for it to end. I was trying to work out if it would be cheaper for a taxi to drive this circuit. Bored children screamed, partners sniped at each other about how much longer but it was like being stuck on the worst kind of public transport. With the experience bringing the worse out of everyone. Bear that in mind.
