We did both the orange... - We did both the orange and green routes. If you can only do one route, do the orange route - it has better sites. However, the Sagrada Familia is on the green route. For us it was a good tour as we found things we didn’t know we wanted to see.

Very useful!! - This was perfect. We were in Barcelona for only a day and so going on these buses helped us cover all major attractions! Make sure to get tickets for attractions well in advance. All tickets get sold out and cannot be purchased at the attraction.

Great way to see the city - Great bus goes to everywhere of interest in the fabulous city. Lots of interesting facts. 2 routes that ensure you go d eye here. Catamaran trip was worth the little extra too.

I practice to know the city - It allows you to get to know the city and have a first look at Barcelona, you can get off at different points, which is very practical, we use it to get to know the city. Even though it says it works until 21 hrs, they only let you get on until 19 hrs, so watch out for that.

Great!! But buy direct. - The hop-on/ hop-off bus is great. The stops are in good locations. I did have an issue with over crowding at one stop. I ended up missing two busses because of it. But overall great. However, I had issue with Viator and my voucher never loaded and there was no record at the CityTour system. I ended up paying twice as I had to buy a ticket direct and was unable to use the one via this site.

Good way to see the city, very busy bus - We got a 48 hour pass, and overall it was a good way to see the city, but at just a few stops almost everyone got off and then got on the bus so you'd have to wait for a few before there was space if it was specifically busy. I imagine in summer/spring/fall it's much worse since this is a slower time of year. Also, we had to stand several times, which meant we couldn't hear the on board commentary. I'd just make sure you get on, get a seat, and ride it once to see everything and hear everything, then decide about getting off somewhere.

More commentary about history please - Would have been better if the audio systems were not broken on many seats. Good routes and locations, though not enough commentary on details of this beautiful city - most of trip was simply music.

Average - Good itinerary and convenient route but average tour of a beautiful city. Audio systems on both orange and green routes had issues and many seat connections were inoperable. Staff knew but did not inform us until we had to come down the stairs whilst the bus was moving. Too much music, not enough commentary.

Overview of city, but disappointing on some levels - We have taken several hop on hop off tours in other cities and this was not one of my favorites . It was difficult to correlate the pre recorded commentary with what we were seeing. In some places it seemed that we could not see what they were discussing from the bus... example the cable cars and amusement park. Also literature and guide don't provide sites of interest available at specific stops. A positive is that ear phones are provided and the commentary is available in multiple languages. We were there the day prior to a holiday so perhaps was extraordinarily busy, but at each stop there were so many people waiting to board that it was packed with people having to stand in the aisles. Definitely a good value to see around the city , but I can't say I would reccomend it.

Not enough capacity for the number of people - We’ve used these in a number of cities and been really happy with we just did a similar tour in San Sebastián which was really good. In Barcelona the buses were just too full even in October. A number of people were left at a lot of the stops because the buses were full and they were asked to wait for the next one but complained that they had already been waiting and they are all full. We only got on at the second attempt because those in front of us were in groups bigger than 2 and they would only let 2 on. We stood much of the way downstairs so saw very little. We got to sit down after half a loop but then were reluctant to hop off as we had seen there was little chance of hopping back on. So very disappointing. A great concept which works elsewhere but this was poor in Barcelona we felt. All the feedback about poor reviews only ever seems to mention the free app so they probably aren’t that interested but they need either more capacity or to sell fewer tickets.
