Four novice Segway riders had the time of their lives in Barcelona with Ivan! - None of the 4 of us had ever been on a Segway. We had just disembarked from the Sun Princess earlier in the day and I thought this might be interesting. My husband and I had previously had a half day tour of Barcelona in 2014 but on this tour were shown parts of Barcelona that we had not seen before. Our 2 grandsons who had become weary from almost daily excursions on a 2 week cruise thoroughly enjoyed learning how to ride their Segways. In all honesty each of us experienced an incident along the way (I thought I was the sole survivor until my final parking skills failed me!) but none of us were really hurt beyond our pride as this was our first time on the two wheelers! Ivan was our guide. He patiently taught us how to maneuver the vehicle and spoke with great knowledge about the sites we saw. When taking this fun and interesting tour I was 3 weeks shy of my 68th birthday and my husband was 66. We had two teenage grandsons with us. Everyone said, incidents aside, that they’d do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Ivan, for one of the most fun and memorable activities of our trip!
