Beautiful shoes & lovely time together - Fabulous to experience - we really enjoyed it. It was a great way to spend a Sunday morning and my daughter aged 10 really found a passion for crafts - time flew by, hosting and support was super

Wonderful time with my mother and now we have a piece of our amazing trip that we get to cherish all the time - The shop was so vibrant, it drew me in from down the street! My mother and I had so much fun designing our own sandals and the staff was so nice and helpful!

Excellent Catalan experience - Anee was an excellent teacher! She taught us the history of espardenya (the original name for espadrilles) and the ingenuity of the Catalan people who invented these shoes. We had delicious tapas and conversation while we made our beautiful shoes. A must do experience for teens and up!

Buyer beware - We bought over $300 worth of shoes, and the sales associates did not make us aware of the VAT form. When we called, there was no way to reach them.

Decorating rather than making - This activity was something I’d really looked forward to but I came away disappointed. It should not be called espadrille making when all you are really doing is decorating a simple shoe base that has already been made by adding ribbons or charms to your personal taste. Although I knew the base took a long time to set, I did expect to at least be stitching the fabric components, not merely adding ribbon decorations and ties. The types of decorations you can make in the class are also restricted to 3 options. You cannot choose to make more complicated decorative features even if you are an experienced needle worker. We started half an hour late waiting for one participant but that wasn’t an issue because the activity only lasted an hour and we still finished 30 minutes earlier than expected. We were not given much information at all about the origins or background to espadrilles and I had to ask the reason for the different decorations in different regional areas. The snacks were not great and we chose not to have the wine.
