  • Casa Vicens - The first important work of Gaudi, constructed from 1883 to 1885.
  • Casa Mila - La Pedrera - Controversial Casa Mila is nicknamed la pedrera (the quarry) by the locals. It is still disputed whether Gaudi left it unfinished, or if he intended the famous facade like this.

Additional Information

Say adios to the fear of missing out because this comprehensive 4-hr bicycle tour covers every single one of Gaudi’s UNESCO-listed structures in Barcelona. The itinerary also includes indispensable attractions such as Las Ramblas, Parc de la Ciutadella, Arc de Triomf, and the Gothic Quarter’s renowned Plaça Reial.

Each building designed by Gaudi is visually exquisite and carries cultural significance. Our knowledgeable guide will take you to all of these, beginning with the breathtaking La Sagrada Familia.

Noteworthy too, are the Gaudi-designed mansions along Passeig de Gracia. Casa Mila, recognized as La Pedrera for its undulating grey façade, was constructed without even a single straight line! Next, the vibrant coral Casa Batllo stands as a splendid homage to Catalan lore.

But the tour isn’t solely about biking and artistry. Roughly half way through, we’ll take a break in a picturesque square in the bohemian Gracia area. Here, we can relax with a beverage and soak in the lively ambience.

Capturing the beauty of Barcelona on a bike. - This tour is a great way to cover alot of ground in a half day and learn not only about Gaudi, but about the history of the city, its distinct neighborhoods and its architectural highlights. This tour hit all of the sights one would want to see when visiting Barcelona, outside of the Gothic quarter. Our guide Alex took us into the heart of some of the quieter neighborhoods where Gaudi’s work was carried out. He did a great job explaining the city’s urban redevelopment following industrialization and then again as the host city of the 1992 Olympics. I highly recommend the e-bike option. There were some steady climbs through the city and a few wind tunnels that made the ride a lot easier.

Lovely way to see a lot of the city - Very easy cycling on gear-less step through road bikes over flat but busy routes. Nearly all on cycle paths so felt safe. Alex was a really lovely well informed guide. He is a history teacher by profession and grew up in Barcelona, so he had lots of interesting information about the politics, the culture and the history of the city. Thoroughly enjoyable morning with lovely stop for lunch in a shady square.
