Experience Barcelona’s history and its Spanish cuisine. As we navigate through its winding alleys and historical squares, we’ll explore Barcelona’s journey from the Roman era to the medieval period of prosperity. With three stops at different restaurants, you’ll get to taste a wide range of tapas!
We’ll meet in the city’s Roman core before embarking on our gastronomic and historical adventure. Our journey begins in Barcelona’s most ancient area: the Gothic Quarter. Our first gastronomic stop will be at a conventional pinchos bar where the snacks are served on a slice of bread, held together with a cocktail stick.
Next, we’ll traverse the medieval hub: El Born. Discover about the skilled artisans and affluent traders of the past who have left behind an impressive heritage in the form of their grand palaces and the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. Our subsequent tapas venue is renowned for its focus on local produce - all food is sourced from nearby farms and fields. Here, we’ll sample a variety of carefully-prepared, top-quality tapas.
After a stop for dessert, you’ll have explored the city’s old districts while savouring a variety of local dishes.

Don't Miss This Tour! - Our guide, Christian, was prompt, knowledgable and had a wonderful personality. We were a group of 8 people and the tour became private. The food stops provided tastings of different types of foods and were of high quality and generous. We can't say enough about this wonderful tour! We decide to do a walking tour after our flight landed in the morning (so we could stay awake during the day and better adjust to the time difference). We knew we'd fall asleep on a bus tour and it was unlikely that our hotel rooms would be ready early. So, taking the walking tour at 1pm was great after our long flight and the food (and drinks) were more than enough for lunch. The tour ended at 4pm. We returned to our hotel, unpacked, had a very light dinner and went to sleep. Thanks so much Christian!

Best for solo travelers - This is my first time to do a guided tour with Airbnb and I am so happy that I tried something new. Unlike any other organized tours I did in the past, my time with Christian was informative, engaging, and heartwarming. I LOVED it. It was like spending quality time with a good friend who showed me around the town where you wouldn’t get to see on your own. He is genuine, knowledgeable, open-minded, and considerate. There were only four people in the group (excluding Christian) and our time was intimate. We stopped by a cute cafe for a drink in the middle of tour and the conversation was rich. From this experience, I even made new friends who I exchanged the contact info with. At the end, I was thinking this is why I like to travel!!!! Thank you, Christian!!!! It was the best ever!

We will definately repeat! - Our experience with Christian was outstanding! His knowledge of Barcelona´s history was impressive and the way he explained us the secret spots was entertaning and very refreshing! Even though we have been to Barcelona a few times before, we still discovered new favourite places. The highlight was the food. Christian took us out to a couple of nice traditional restaurants with a pleasant ambience and provided us with explanations about the menu. Always considering our personal preferences. Overall this was a fantastic tour and I recommend it for visitors that appreciate an added value and personal touch on their tours. It´s very easy to connect with Christian. Thanks for this great day!

Great food AND learning - My wife and I really enjoyed the evening with Christian! Far more than just a food tour, we got an introduction to several neighborhoods in Barcelona and lots of interesting history. And the food was great! This experience is a great value and we highly recommend.

Excellent - Lovely combination to discover Barcelona! We spent a great time with our guide Michael who showed us beautiful historic spots in the old town. His story telling was fascinating and he explained us many details about the Spanish food during the three stops. We particularly loved the pintxos! All the restaurants were well selected. We had a wonderful time! Thank you!

Food and History-A Great Combination - Booking with Christian I knew the tour would be top notch! Lots of great food and history, Barcelona is an amazing city and Christian’s research shares little known facts about many of the places we visited. Perfect blending of foodie and history experience.

Totally recomended! - We picked this experience for a company offsite, and everyone had such a good time doing it, the feedback is that is awesome to know more about the Barcelona History and Past as well as taste some unique delicacies. Christian is a very good guide, super nice and welcoming, it was a pleasure to have its tour and food experience, we felt it was really personalized for our big group (big thank you from our vegan/vegetarian folks!)!

Simply the Best - After attending 4 food tours during my trip to Barcelona, my final was the best! Christian and his team are the only team that can accommodate on Sundays. They also made the purchase of the tour far simpler than the others are were engaged with me as soon as the purchase was made, over email. The day prior, he sent me a text to make sure everything was going well with my trip and that we were still on track for the same time and day. Not only was the food the best, but he also gave us wine and beer to drink at no additional charge, unlike the other food tours. He also gave us the most amount of food and was able to adjust his tour to our request, that we made the day of! I found this food tour to be the cheapest of the 4 I was on which begs the question, why would you be on any other tour besides Christian’s?!
