Start your journey at the Boqueria Market, recognized globally as one of the premier food markets. Your tour guide will take you through its mosaic pathways while you sample authentic Catalan olives. Upon leaving the Boqueria Market, you will land upon the picturesque Ramblas. This was once a bustling market, now renowned for its vibrant flower stalls.
For the next leg of our tour, we step into history as we traverse the alleys of the Gothic Quarter, home to myriad antique shops and occasional vintage markets. Our journey continues to the Santa Caterina Market, Barcelona’s first ever covered market. Along the way to our final stop, we’ll be dropping by a local caganer store to unravel the tale behind one of Catalonia’s most perplexing traditions.
The grand finale of your tour will be at the Market of El Born. Initially constructed as a market, this edifice of steel and glass now serves as a historical site, preserving remnants of the neighborhood’s past from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Stroll through culinary carousel - I stocked up on a bunch of stuff here. Loved it. We had dinner there at a variety of food booths, and brought stuff back, and was also able to send certain food items back home as gifts. Exotic and good.

A little boring - - I take some responsibility. I should have found a tour that charged a little more and allowed tasting along the way. We learned history, but it is always more fun when you are tasting and sharing with friends.
