Costa Brava & Empuries tour - Vincent was fantastic. Very Knowledgeable, and extremely well spoken. He was very engaging with my teenage daughter and my 9 year old son. The ruins were fascinating, and Vincent took the time to chat one on one with each child and explain the history. Truly an exceptional experience for the family. And also our driver Joaquin, who was great, got us to our destinations and back in a timely manner. Big thank you to all!

Great day trip with Reuben - We really enjoyed the day trip up the coast from Barcelona to Empuries to see the Greek and Roman ruins. Very interesting and a beautiful location. Lunch at Estartit, and a relaxing and fun boat ride to Medes Island. The caves and shoreline are beautiful. We loved it!

Great day out with excellent guide but skip the boat ride - This was an excellent day out. Our guide Gaspar was very knowledgeable and informative. This includes hotel pickup, followed by about an hour and 30min drive out of Barcelona up to the Greek and Roman ruins at Empuries. That part of the tour was excellent and the car journey went by quickly as Gaspar our guide was sharing the history of the region etc. along the way. The ruins are right by lovely sandy beaches, and after the tour of the ruins we had a couple of hours to walk by the beach and go and get lunch. There is a quaint medieval village with lovely little tapas restaurants within walking distance of the ruins. Our guide then picked us up and drove us to where the boat ride is. The boat ride itself was very disappointing, which was really the only reason I did not give this 5 stars. The description here says the boat will stop and you will be able to jump in the water but that was not the case. I definitely give Gaspar our guide 5 stars as he was excellent. If you take this tour you can talk to the guide and ask to skip the boat trip part and spend more time near the ruins. We would have loved to have stayed there and spent some time swimming and at the beach. All in all this trip was definitely worth it but would have been even better if we skipped the boat ride bit.

Pretty good but some slight disappointments. - The ruins aren’t that exciting, compared to others I have seen but it is neat that there are ruins right next to a fun little beach to enjoy, it was great for the kids. The boat part of the tour could’ve been better, we went in the glass bottom boat and it was just kind of murky and you couldn’t see much. I thought we are going to be in a small boat To explore the caves along the coast more. It was still absolutely stunning to view the huge cliffs along the coast line. It was also advertised as a scenic drive and I thought we would be driving along the coast line and seeing lots of small towns, that was not so we just drove on a very boring highway all the way there so the time in the car wasn’t what I thought it would be. Our tour guide was nice and I still enjoyed it but I was really looking forward to that scenic drive, he said during the summer months the traffic is too bad to go that way, so they should not advertise it that way as most people come during the nice weather.
