Food was amazing, our Host was a gem! - Our host was the lovely Esther who is the Spanish version of Carrie Bradshaw with her adorable and colorful style. Our tour included my 11- and 14-year-old boys who loved Esther (a former teacher) from the start. My 11-year-old foodie ate EVERYTHING, and my teenager was brave and admittedly ate more meats than fish. Be sure to communicate with the tour ahead of time that your part includes children and ask for Esther! Each restaurant was not only delicious but also historical, quirky in a good way and a favorite among the locals (so you felt like you were in on the secret). Everyone knows Esther and are quick to accommodate her guests. We walked through beautiful streets of Eixample neighborhood, and she pointed about unique and historical points along the way. I would 100% take this walking food tour again (and take Esther up on the The Chef's Kitchen option she recommended). Can't wait to return to Barcelona now that we have so many great food recommendations from Esther!

Best food tours in Barcelona - This exceptional food tour stood out among our global culinary experiences. We’ve taken 5 food tours (mostly are pricey) in Barcelona alone and this is the only one that’s truly outstanding. My family enjoyed numerous mouthwatering tapas that didn't leave us feeling overly stuffed, striking the perfect balance between deliciousness and comfortable portion sizes. The carefully curated selection of wine and food showcased high-quality, locally representative dishes that were both authentic and delectable. Esther, our guide, was charming, knowledgeable, and genuine, adding depth to each dish with her enthusiastic explanation. We learned so much from Esther’s informative insights and personal anecdotes that enhanced our culinary journey. As food enthusiasts, we highly recommend this tour for a true taste of the local gastronomy.

Wonderful food tour and guide - We visited 3 different and amazing spots, and along the way, our lovely and knowledgeable tour guide Esther told us so many interesting things about Barcelona- culture, history, architecture, neighborhoods and events going on this weekend. She was very engaging and made sure everyone was having a good time.

Awesome, fun and tasty experience - very high end! - This was a top notch tour! We easily found Esther at the bakery, our starting point, just at the top of the Metro entrance (hint: easy to get to!). We visited 3 tapas restaurants, each of which was superb. The first was a grocery/enoteca/bar. Esther used the time to teach us a little about Spanish "light eating". All the foods and wine were top quality. The second spot, Norte, was her favorite. The food was wonderful and the wine choices perfect. The final place was a cool and busy wood paneled bar also with top quality food and wine. There were 9 guests on the tour, most elderly, and we easily walked around Eixample to the bars. Esther is an accomplished cook, so was able to steer our selections to make sure we had a wide range of tapas and wine to sample. This is a don't miss tour!

Take this mouth watering tour! - Our guide, Esther tailored our tour perfectly for gluten free tapas! We enjoyed tasting the Catalunyan foods & ideas very much while visiting several small, delicious & friendly restaurants & specialty food purveyors. Esther, Thank you for your kindnesses & great tour. We appreciated your insights & very much enjoyed tasting the varied foods of Catalunya. Your follow up email with further suggestions was the icing on the cake. Gracias!

Great authentic tapas tour. Love the guide. - Such a delightful tour of multiple small restaurants with Spanish tapas including traditional Catalan dishes. Our guide, Lorea, designed a very efficient tour at places we would not have found without her. Well worth it…

Great food tour with Esther - We had a great time with Esther. She gave us good information about the history and culture of the area and even some home cooking tips. Our tour had just two couples and the guide which was a perfect way of sliding into some great spots and feeling like we fit in, not like we were a giant distraction. Esther was lovely and knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend the tour to others visiting Barcelona.

Amazing way tour Barcelona - with tapas! - We landed in Barcelona and went on a tapas tour with Anna. It was excellent (but more food than we could handle). It was a great way to kick off the trip. Have someone order for us so we tried and tasted many great tapas. Our boys (14 and 12) loved it! I highly recommend booking a food tour with them - but make sure you are SUPER hungry!
