We’ll be uncovering the vintners of the renowned El Penedés wine region, while I guide you in my classic 1976 Mehari convertible.

I’ll navigate you through the region’s most picturesque vineyards and family-run wineries, where you’ll engage with the grape cultivators and family proprietors. A representative from the family will demystify the process of wine and cava (sparkling wine not from France) production.

We plan to drop by two traditional wineries nestled in the rural landscape, where we’ll sample some select wines or cavas coupled with appetizers at each stop.

En route, amidst a backdrop of historical vineyards, I’ll divulge the region’s assorted secrets, oddities, and unique aspects.

Later, we’ll seize a moment to unwind, nestled in a grassy expanse among vineyards and aged trees. I’ll set up a picnic, complete with local fare and additional wines/cavas from the region (with an open-ended offer of wine/cava during the meal).

During the winter months, our lunch engagement will be held within a winery or at my homely garage bar.
