- Plaza de Ramon Berenguer el Gran - The Gótico Food Tour begins here, guiding you through Barcelona’s renowned Ciutat Vella (old city): past ancient Roman walls, beside cathedrals, through charming plazas, and most importantly, in-and-out of quaint, local eateries that will leave you satisfied, cheerful, and with a deeper appreciation of local Catalan and Spanish cuisine.
- Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar - On our way between dining spots, we will encounter many significant landmarks in the Gothic Quarter, including the “Catedral Del Mar”, constructed between 1329 and 1383, showcasing an outstanding example of Catalan Gothic architecture.
- Muralla Romana - We will also pass by remnants of Barcelona’s Roman city wall (Muralla Romana), primarily built in the 3rd century to defend against invaders.
- Gothic Quarter (Barri Gotic) - Our entire tour revolves around the Gothic Quarter, the oldest section of Barcelona. Its maze-like streets, many leading to hidden squares, are now mostly pedestrian-friendly. It’s a perpetually captivating neighborhood, home to excellent shops and, naturally, some of the finest restaurants.
- Placa de Sant Jaume - As we stroll between dining venues, we will pass through and briefly discuss some of the beautiful streets and plazas, such as the Plaça de Sant Jaume and the Plaça Sant Just. (The exact route depends on the selection of restaurants for that evening.)
- El Born / La Ribera - While the tour primarily focuses on the iconic Gothic Quarter, we often traverse parts of other picturesque old areas of the Ciutat Vella (Old City): El Born and La Ribera.

Tasty tapas and great family outing - We had the best time tasting the delicious traditional food and drink of Barcelona. Our guide Maria was so fun and knowledgeable about all the food. She also shared much information on Catalonian traditions that were fascinating. She was a great conversationalist tool We had so much fun that we wanted to bring Maria home with us. I highly recommend this tour!

Great night of Food and Fun - What a wonderful evening! First, kudos and thanks to our guide Esther. An absolute joy to spend the evening with her. So knowledgeable and fun. The food and drink were outstanding. A great range of different tastes in a wonderful part of Barcelona. A great way to start our Barcelona adventures. Highly recommend !

Wonderful food with wonderful people! - Of course the food was excellent, as promised. What made the experience great was our guide, Noah. Noah provided background on each of the dishes and walked us through how a group of Spanish friends typically “does tapas”. Very engaging. Would highly recommend.

Amazing tapas tour with the wonderful Maria! - My wife and I and our two adult daughters had a wonderful time going to three outstanding restaurants on this tapas tour. Food and drink were excellent and Maria was a delightful hostess and tour guide. We enjoyed the conversation as much as the food and drink! My only regret is that we did this tour on our last day in Barcelona since Maria also had many recommendations of local establishments to impart to us. Highly recommend!

Great food - Great tour, lots of delicious food, lots of behind the scene knowledge of the city from the tour guide. She walked at our pace, took into consideration any dietary needs we may have had. Ensured we were satisfied with the food and service. The restaurants were very accommodating to us. All of them had a table reserved and ready for her/us.
We really recommend this tour, make sure you ask for “Ester/Esther(pronounced Ester)

Family food tour in Gothic Quarter - We had a wonderful evening with Allison, our tour guide. We had fun exploring the Gothic Quarter and the restaurants were outstanding. The food selections were amazing and Allison went out of her way to ensure everyone in our group was accommodated. Allison provided many tips for our trip as well. Loved the humor! And thanks for the great pictures too! Everyone in our group raves about the experience.

The most fun we had in Barcelona - Not only was the tour and food great it was a lot of fun and we learned so much. The small group was very intimate and easy to talk and learn. The food was really tasty and plenty was had as was the wine and Cava. Allison was such a good guide and educated us about the Tapas and wine and was so fun.

Barcelona tapas - The tapas were tasty and the tour was fun. We only visited 3 places and on previous tours elsewhere we’ve visited 5. I think more places would have been nicer. Also previous tours elsewhere we were given a lot more information while walking from place to place. I usually like to start a trip in a new place with a food tour because we usually get so much info and I didn’t feel that way this time. The other family with us felt the same way. But overall good tour.

Friendly guide to three nice spots - Maria was very welcoming and took us to three very nice spots. The food was good but did not seem particularly exceptional - which one would expect for a well curated tour at this price point. It was more like a friend showing you around vs a seasoned professional on a well curated food tour.
