Highlights
  • Casa Mila - La Pedrera - Designed by Spain’s modernista architect Antoni Gaudí in the early 1900s, the UNESCO-listed La Pedrera stands testament to his genius. See for yourself during The Gaudí Pedrera: The Origins, an evening event that brings the architecture alive with dazzling audiovisuals and a soundtrack that charts Gaudí’s obsession with natural forms. You’ll quickly appreciate this when you arrive and head for the Passeig de Gracia patio, one of La Pedrera’s inner courtyards. Admire the fairytale-like surroundings highlighted by the audiovisuals before heading to the upper story, where a museum reveals more about the architect. Enjoy the displays, innovative design, and more special effects, and then visit the roof terrace. Here, marvel at an otherworldly show projected on his famous spiraling chimneys. End your experience on the Provenca patio, admiring its murals, mosaics and stairway over a glass of Cava - the perfect finale!

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. - What a fascinating house! From the cobblestone basement to the rooftops, the house is amazing and enjoyable to visit. There are LOTS of stairs everywhere. The roof in particular, after climbing a million stairs to get there, is covered with stairs and different levels. Well worth it, but be prepared.

Great Experience, No Crowds - This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend! I enjoyed visiting the place at night. It was very quiet and we learned a lot from our tour guide. We were the only group in there so it was not crowded at all and we got a chance to see everything. The light show on the roof is a little long (15 minutes) and I could have done with maybe a minute or two, but it was still cool to see. I also enjoyed the cava at the end of the tour. We did this on the night we landed in Barcelona so it was also great to help us adjust to the time. Highly recommend overall!

Cultural experience - The light show is very moving. It was well worth avoiding the crowds at this hour and seeing this building with a guide. We really enjoyed this cultural experience.

Ok tour but could be better - Overall a good coverage of La Pedera history and explanation of its importance and details about the building. Light show abit over-rated and many steps to get to top of building. Elevator was available and offered if required. Drinks and a quick nibble at the end .

It was wonderful visiting... - It was wonderful visiting La Pedrera and being able to see the indoors and the terrace. The negative aspect of the visit was to walk out without much clear information since we had a difficult time understanding the tour guide, she had a very heavy accent. The friend that I visited with also had difficulty understating the tour guide. So, we did not learn much of the story of La Pedrera.

Not worth it because of the experience with staff - The night time light show on the roof was nice to see; however, they rush you off the roof and you do not really get to spend time and see the roof after the light show. Also, to get up to the roof, they pose the 7+ flight of stairs walk up as having areas/things that are nice to see on the way up and if not able to walk up that they have an elevator. There was nothing worth seeing on the walk up the stairs. They essentially just do not want to have to take the whole group on the elevator. When you finishing unnecessarily walking up the stairs to the attic area, they give a tour of that floor and then take you to the roof. On the roof the light show is very nice. Afterwards we wanted to look at the architecture and art of the roof for 5 to 10 minutes; however, we were being rushed off the roof instead. Then a tour guide from the next group arrived and rudely told us we need to leave the roof and directed us to the stairs on the opposite side of the building. When we told we need the elevator, he just pointed to where the elevator is and said to go there. We got on the elevator and started heading down and it stopped on a floor on the way and a different staff member entered the elevator. That staff member was surprised that we were on the elevator alone, because apparently someone is supposed to accompany us, and she assisted us the remainder of the way to where the final champagne is given. For the ending it is champagne and some meat items and there is no option of vegetarians for snacks, just the champagne, which you need to guzzle down basically because of them rushing you.
