• Barcelona - 8:30 AM marks the beginning of the tour as we depart from Barcelona city. Sit back, relax, and let us handle everything!

Hotel pickups will occur between 8:00 and 8:30 (approximately 30 minutes), followed by a 60-minute drive to our first stop.

• L’Eixample District - As we exit the city, we pass through this renowned area, rich with landmarks and stunning architecture.
• Hostalric Castle - Upon leaving the highway, we enter a protected nature reserve and a landscape dotted with castles. The first sight is the magnificent medieval Hostalric Castle, historically linked to the castle we will visit. Your guide will provide some background as we pass by, offering a delightful introduction to local history.
• Parc Natural del Montseny - After about an hour, we find ourselves in a different setting, surrounded by lush greenery, mountains, and charming small villages. This is the Montseny Nature Park, where we catch our first glimpse of Montsoriu Castle, majestically situated atop Montsoriu Hill.
• Castle of Montsoriu - 09:30 AM marks our arrival! We will park at the base of Montsoriu Hill and begin our ascent. Just like the knights and warriors of old, we will conquer this hill, and our reward will be substantial. This invigorating morning hike, lasting about 40 minutes, is a fantastic way to start our day. At the summit, we will be greeted with breathtaking views. We’ll capture some memorable photos and take a deep breath of fresh mountain air before exploring the castle’s many facets. (The castle is open for guided visits only on Saturdays and Sundays.) Our exploration will last about an hour, during which we’ll delve into the history, archaeology, and medieval times of the region. This will provide a solid foundation for our tour. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy an easy walk downhill back to the car.
• Arbucies - 12:30 PM Lunch: After so much history and hiking, our appetites will be ready for a genuine Catalonian meal! Following a 30-minute drive through Montseny Nature Park, we arrive at our secret lunch spot, just outside the picturesque town of Arbúcies. Here, we find a unique restaurant nestled inside a 15th-century mill hidden in the woods. It’s an authentic and enchanting experience.
• Girona - 3:00 PM After lunch, we relax, digest, and enjoy a scenic drive of about an hour to the city of Girona. It might be the perfect time for a little ‘siesta’. Girona is a medieval treasure with a rich history. We will explore the city together on an in-depth walking tour, delving into 2000 years of history and covering all the main highlights. Afterwards, you’ll have some free time for personal exploration or to enjoy a coffee before we return to Barcelona.
• Barcelona - 6:30 PM (approx.) - After a little over an hour’s drive, we return to Barcelona city. We will drop you off at your accommodation, concluding the tour.
