Great museum - Great museum that is already a lot of fun from the outside with its view of the city from the hill. There is a relaxed atmosphere with musicians showing their skills and inviting you to chill out. The museum itself is huge and even includes a concert hall. On Saturday afternoon admission was free, whether of limited time we only devoted ourselves to the ancient art from Gothic, Romanesque etc. Here, among other things, old frescoes from churches were removed in a very elaborate procedure and then reconstructed here again. Great. Definitely worth a visit, not only inside, but also on weekends because of the beautiful atmosphere before. Thank you again.

great building, nice art and fab restaurant . . . - As many reviewers have said, it's a wonderful and unique building. Worth a visit by itself. And an extensive art collection that we enjoyed. When we arrived we were hungry. There is a small area for cafe food and tables in front of the museum but it was crowded. We went inside and found out there is a restaurant. It's lovely with a fabulous view of Barcelona. The food was excellent and the service very good.

A Cultural Journey - The National Art Museum of Catalonia offers a fantastic journey through Catalan art, from Romanesque to Modernism. The entrance ticket provides access to an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures, and photography, showcasing both local and European masterpieces. The museum itself is located in the stunning Palau Nacional, offering breathtaking views of Barcelona from its terraces. The experience is well worth the price, with a wide range of exhibits and a beautiful setting that art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike can appreciate. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the rich cultural heritage of Catalonia!

Great stopover to cooldown after the Pueblo Espanol. - Visit during a warm summer day just after the Pueblo Espanol. About 15 min walk. Loved the art and the shop is fully stock of quality gifts. Also a good restaurant with a rather pricey set menu. A rather more affordable choice on the ground floor with cafe well stocked with quick meals and refreshments. Cool environment in a rather splendorous building.

Beautiful Museum, well worth a visit! - This is a wonderful museum. There is a lively crowd in front of the museum, lots of folks taking pictures, musicians singing and playing instruments, chatting at the outdoor cafe...it was a festive welcome. Make sure you look up, down, and all around, because there is something to see everywhere! I thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the museum and seeing the history of Catalunya through their artists past and present. I overheard someone talking about getting to the rooftop, so I sought that route out myself and was so glad I did, what a spectacular view of Barcelona! My only challenge was that a lot of the placards describing the art are all in Spanish. When I looked for an audio guide, I could not find one and was not offered one when I was at the ticket counter, so not sure if one is available. I fear I missed out on a lot of details and background information, but I still was happy to see so many amazing art pieces.

Beautiful artworks - Great museum, great works of art, the building is worth seeing in itself. I thought it was a pity that there were no descriptions in English and only the great epochs were translated. The visit is worthwhile for the view of Barcelona alone
