Would recommend visiting! - Very aesthetic space, took lots of photos. Art sends very strong messages to the society. It’s more then just vibrant colors and lights.

A pleasure! - Known works and masterpieces at every turn. A pleasure to visit because there are not many people! PS: the visit is short, at least you will not be bored.

Surface art - Art for people who are not interested in art. The selected works are very well known, but the selection is only based on the notoriety of their creators. Nothing to say, nothing new, nothing surprising. We go around the museum in 30 minutes top chrono.

Instagrammer‘s Art - As I wandered through the exhibits among pouty instagramers taking selfies with Moco‘s art pieces, I knew I should had spent my money in any of the other wonderful art museums in Barcelona. This museum is curated for mass tourism, with art that is meant to be displayed on a T-shirt: primary colours, super-large format, and pretentious text that is supposed to sound irreverent and deep (i.e „life is a long awkward moment“). The art is so laughably vain and self-conscious that the audio guide uses the same cliché descriptions for different artists and pieces, but with slightly modified language, all probably generated via AI. There are a couple of notable exceptions, including some iconic pieces by Basquiat, and some excellent paintings by relatively new artists like Guillermo Lorca. In summary, skip this tourist trap and save your money. Or check any souvenir shop in touristy Barrio Gotic to feed your cravings for cheesy pseudo-art.
