Winding down with wine - Ramon was such an incredible guide and we had a wonderful day! He took us on a quick walking tour of the area we were staying in (we were here during the construction on Ramblas so he had to park a bit far) and then we were on our way to Monsterrat. He stopped halfway up the mountain, took great photos of my family and I, told us some history and fun facts and then it was back up the mountain to the top. We had a great tour at the monastery and saw the most amazing views. For lunch, he made us reservations at such a wonderful place near the winery, where we ended our day touring the Llopert grounds, saw their cellar, and tasted 3 different corpinnat wines. The best day we’ve had on our entire trip! Thank you Ramon for a wonderful day :)

A Beautiful Day! - A fantastic day with Alex and our group of close friends! We started with the winery, which was beautiful, informative and delicious! Then to a traditional restaurant right below Montserrat for lunch and then the best for last...Montserrat is beautiful and pictures don't do it justice. I highly recommend this tour!

Worth it! - This tour was worth every penny and time. Monserrat was just amazing. Our tour guide Alba was so informative. She was very knowledgeable about Barcelona its history and current happenings. She was accommodating to what we wanted to see, should see and do with the time frame at Monserrat. The wine tour was a nice way to end the long day. It was just the right amount of time spent in the winery. Roger at the wine vineyard was energetic and full of information. All in all it was a wonderful tour. Kudos to Alba as she was a delight!

A private tour + wine was a great decision. - I wanted to reduce the physical and mental overload of figuring out how to get to Montserrat using public transport. After a thorough search, I found several contenders, but I chose the one with the Cava tour because wine is always a great way to end a long day in the mountains! At first, I was quibbling about the price, but in retrospect, it was well worth the price of not having to worry about a thing! Our guide, Dulce M.P. Ortiz, was a treasure trove of knowledge! Her engaging, kind, and calm demeanor made the trip enjoyable. The presence of a separate driver, who was also friendly and relaxed, allowed Dulce to focus on sharing various insights about the area during our drive, significantly enhancing our experience. At the monastery, Dulce pointed out several important historical and geological considerations that influenced the site's development before leaving us to explore for several hours. My friend and I aren't huge hikers, yet we still decided to take the Sant Joan funicular to the hiking trails to enjoy the beautiful views and the rock formations and to admire the effort and work it must have taken to build the Sant Joan and Sant Onofre hermitages built into the side of the mountain. PRO TIP: The funicular stations have vending machines for water and snacks that accept Euro coins. If you don't have water, buy it in the gift/restaurant area where credit cards are accepted or carry some Euro coins. After Montserrat, we embarked on a scenic drive to our Cava tour site. Dulce left us in the capable hands of the Cava guide for a two-hour experience. Despite not being a wine connoisseur, I found the tour to be a unique and informative experience, appreciating the efforts and processes required to create cava. We then enjoyed a relaxing ride back to our Barcelona apartment, reflecting on the day's adventures. Overall, excellent way to make full use of the day traveling and exploring various sites in the area with an excellent guide.

Magical Montserrat - Montserrat is a must-see experience. We were lucky to be at the church at 1pm and heard the boy choristers sing. It was magical. Our guide, Alberto, took us to Llopart to taste wine which was entertaining, informative and delicious.
