Additional Information

The Montserrat Natural Park situates at a distance of 50 kilometers from Barcelona. We approach the park with the appealing and singular views offered by our fully-equipped private conveyance.

Our first stop in Montserrat’s Natural Park is the Benedictine Monastery, established in the 11th century. It constitutes the dwelling for Catalonia’s Patron Saint, The Black Madonna of Montserrat which stands as a potent symbol of unification and spirituality for the local inhabitants.

After touring the Monastery grounds, we ascend to the crest to relish the awe-inspiring vistas of the Natural Park and most of its surroundings.

During our hike, we tread the very trails utilized by the pilgrims centuries ago. We get enchanted by the intriguing flora and fauna of Montserrat and we also take singular routes where the rocky columns and gorges exhibit the mystery of the emerging water from the concealed and unexplored heart of the massif.

At the base in the Monastery again, we acquire some leisure time before our return journey to Barcelona.

Highly recommended this tour especially for someone love a little of hiking. - We had a great time at Montserrat. Frank is our driver and our guide for private tour of 7. He’s on time, very knowledgeable about the history and great hiker. We enjoy the church as well. Overall, great experience! If you go in the summer, start early because it can be hot. He picked us up and drop us off. Great service!

Amazing Day! - Montserrat was amazing and Frank our guide was awesome! We learned the history and info on what we were seeing and the hike and it's views were beyond beautiful. I'm afraid of heights and made it through so don't let that stop you. The runners passing by and going around the hairpin turns while running might freak you out though lol. Montserrat was one of the most beautiful spots on our vacation and should not be missed.

We had a wonderful tour... - We had a wonderful tour with time to visit the monastery with highlights explained by our guide. Then we had an easy and beautiful hike on the mountain. Our guide explained the rock formations and local plants. He was also an expert at knowing when to explain things and when to just let his guests experience nature quietly.

Great trip, thanks Juan! - Thanks Juan (and Franc/o, Frank, sorry if typing the name incorrectly - for the other part of the group), for being our driver and excellent tour guide, was great! Oh and big plus for not nagging for a review like 90% companies/guides. Definately worth it.

Phenomenal - It was a very demanding hike, ideal for me. But you should have a certain level of basic fitness, otherwise it is too strenuous.
