A relaxing way to enjoy the countryside in Barcelona. - It was very relaxing on the horseback surrounded with the mountain scene. A slow ride and no experience is needed.

Montserrat and Horses! - Our guide Jordy was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about Montserrat. The horseback ride was very scenic. It is of course a follow the leader type walking trail, but nonetheless being on horseback in the mountain air is always lovely!

Best of Things to Experience in Barcelona - First, our guide, Jordi picked us up on time at our meeting place which was very easy to get to. As we drove he pointed out landmarks, rivers, and explained some of the geological characteristics along the way. I don’t think there was one person in our group who wasn’t sobered and in awe of that Benedictine Abbey and its history. He gave us the option to walk up to the cross of St. Michael, and most of our group took him up on it. He warned us how steep it was. He didn’t lie. I think one of the reasons he was so good as a guide is his love of his land, the sacredness of the grounds of the Abbey, and his stewardship of the entire area. He explained each chapel in the Basilica, and explained the concept of the Black Madonna. You may well come out of this tour a believer. I have never seen such beauty and have rarely been so moved. And as for the horse riding, it was a wonderful ride through what is reminiscent of Southern California scrub with areas of vineyards and homes scattered here and there. It was a gorgeous ride. I would love to do all of this again. If you go, I hope you get Jordi

Must do to get out of the city - Frank was the best tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the history in relation to Spain and the monastery. You do so much and get back to Barcelona to continue with the other half of the day. I would recommend and do again if we come back! Amazing experience.

Fabulous day! - First I have to say Tony and Thalis were the best tour guides. So pleasant and knowledgeable.....fun to be with. The wine tasting and tapas lunch was terrific. Learned a lot about wine! A great day!

Fantastic tour - The guide Frank was excellent! He was very entertaining and had alot of information for us The location was good. A bit chilly but great atmosphere and the horses were so a accomodating.

Totally worth it - What a great day! The meetup spot was easy to find, the drive up was scenic, the monastery was beautiful, the hiking was perfect, and the horseback riding was so fun and the horses are clearly very well cared for! Or guide Frank was an absolute delight, knowledgeable, fun, had neat history and geology facts, and was a pleasure to talk to! Absolutely would do again!
